Ummm he is a coach and won a few matches in his day.
I received a copy of the email from Robert Faulkens, wrestlers will receive one extra pound tomorrow.
Just a few.

Another great piece of writing. Well done.

Great preview! Thanks for all of the hard work.

Collins..."Aint my son" not enough skills for this family but, if he keeps working we might invite him over for a cookout!! Lol
not your son. I thought he was CollinsWrestler's son.

Who was a strong as a garlic milkshake?
I was referring to Skylar. I thought he was your son.

Who from this bracket has he beat? Everything that i see is, he's been pinned by the guys i stated from above....
I just new that he'd lost to Morales at 182 (no shame in that, at all) and beat Irick. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. At 182 you get to deal with Manns, Morales, and Steffy. Go to 170 and you have Worm, Ragains, Wray, and Irick. Yikes

i guess that is the disturbing part of this whole discussion.....there is not any real consistency to this much like stalling calls, out of bounds and pins......every ref calls them a little different.....i wonder if this kid would have been not allowed to wrestle had he been at the same sectional as the one that started this post?
When I see Mr. Clark is one of the refs I feel pretty confident that the rules will be followed and interpreted correctly. Hard to question him on much.

i think Williamson @ 170 will be in the mix.
to be honest I'd forgoten about him. Probably because I was shocked to not see him in the finals. Yes, 170 will be a free for all. Talk about depth

I've not seen all of the wrestlers at this Regional so I am only speaking from my own observations. If I fail to mention a kid please don't take offense. I am not an authority, only a fan. Some of the weights that I am most looking forward to: 152- that weight is becoming a lot more interesting than I would have ever thought. VanCamp has had some real wars with McCoy and the Sectional final vs Gregg was about as close as it gets. 160- Stambaugh vs Archer could be a great one. Archer certainly isn't sneaking up on anyone anymore. He put in a ton of work this past offseason and it has shown all year. 170-How can anyone not bet excited about Worm, Ragains, Wray, and Irick? Those four have battled all season and it I don't think Saturday will be any different. 182- Morales, Manns, and Steffy should produce some drama. I don't know if Steffy has seen Manns before but if they meet I'd advise Mr. Manns not to look past Steffy. The last matchup between Morales and Manns wasn't as close as the score showed, IMO. I thought Morales controled Manns for the most part and I imagine that Manns is looking forward to a chance at payback. 220- Hart vs Ford at Sectionals wasn't nearly as close as their first meeting earlier this season. Hart seemed to be in control throughout but I don't know if the injury that forced Ford to FF had anything to do with it. HWT- I've seen all of the 4 that are coming from the Zionsville sectional and all but a couple from Crawfordsville. I have to say I think that the four 285s from the Zville sectional appear to be more likely to advance. The latest version of Hobbick vs Smith was another war and I predict a repeat if these two meet up again. But when you are dealing with the big guys mistakes usually end up resulting in pins so you never know.

Any guesses as to who's moving onto New Castle?
I haven't looked at all the brackets but I wanted to say that your kid was as strong as a garlic milkshake on Saturday. Hell of a day. Congrats

as a matter of fact yesterday at our sectional a wrestler had a full face mask on.....when he took it off he had (what looked to me like ringworm) a large red spot on his chin......so how is that acceptable if covering skin conditions is not?......i assume the ref deemed it non contagious, he more than likely had the proper form, and it looked dried up?.....tough decision i'm sure to tell a kid his season is over and one i'm sure the refs do everything possible to avoid.....
contagious......the key word in this whole discussion.....who is qualified to make that call?
I saw the same wrestler Saturday and I noticed that he only wore the mask for the first couple of rounds. When I saw his face later I remember being amazed that any ref let him on the mat.

This is only my best guess as I haven't seen some of these young men wrestle.
Listed in placing order.
106- Anderson, Strueder, Pecoraro, Greene
113- Holmes, Ellis, Jerde, Hutson
120- Eiteljorge, Bocock, Wright, Gobeyn
132- Chastain, Eldred, Scott, Coffman
138- Stansberry, Smith, Montgomery, Kern
145- Gaines, Kern, Dombrowski, Breen
152- VanCamp, Greg, Alexander, Bublick
160- Stambaugh, Mazero, Fox, Montes
170- Ragains, Irick, Williamson, Stevens
182- Morales, Steffy, Mac-Dawson, Hoover
195- Hipple, Fuller, Schaefer, Farris
220- Hart, Penola, Ford, Eidson
285- Smith, Hobick, Chakiry, Dollens
looks pretty spot on. the only one i'd add is Pedigo at 195. Some of these potential finals matches could be good ones. Bocock vs Eiteljorge wrestled early in the season and it will be interesting to see how much each has evolved. Chastain vs Eldred is always impressive. Ragains vs Irick could be a real war. They wrestled earlier in the year and I think Ragains dominated that one. Morales vs Steffy was a war last year at sectionals and I don't look for it to be any different this time. Penola vs Hart is one matchup that I'm really looking forward to. Hart's only loss came to Penola early this season and it was about as close as it gets. Hart has been on a tear and Penola is coming back from a long layoff so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Of the HWs Smith and Hobbick are the only two I've seen this year and their previous meetings were wars. I expect nothing less this time if they meet up.

Where was Greene (or is it Green? I've seen it both ways) earlier in the year? I don't remember him when HSE wrestled Lebanon. All I remember was Cope (@106) & Jones (@113).
It is Ethan Greene. I can't say for sure why he wasn't in the lineup against you guys at Frankfort. I believe he may have been sick that day.
