  1. Is broardcastsport.net going to carry the state finals like in the past or is Fox Sports the only way to watch? It appears that the Fox Sports coverage isn't up in the Elkhart area. Maybe I'm missing something but we can't find anything.

  2. good luck to jack this weekend....hard to believe these boys are seniors already.....seems like just yesterday when tony and jack were battling it out as middle schoolers in Indy and now their high school careers are wrapping up......

  3. 106 lb weight class at state in 2011-2012:

-Nathan Boston: 3-time state champion (2 out of state, 1 in Indiana), currently wrestling @ Iowa State

-Stefan Micic: 3-time state champion, currently wrestling @ Northwestern

-Hayden Lee: 1-time state champion (Div. 1 Ohio), currently wrestling @Arizona State

-Tommy Cash: 1-time state champion, committed to wrestle @ Indiana University

-DJ Smith: 1-time state champion, currently wrestling @ University of Indianapolis

-Zach Davis: 2-time state runner-up, currently wrestling @ U.S. Naval Academy

Quite Impressive to say the least.

That's a group of tough ones for sure......anyone know anything about how Hayden Lee is doing out west?

  4. I don't like how charger.dad came on this thread and started making heavy accusations about the people that run this site. Then when he gets called out on it he starts backtracking and apologizing.

heavy accusations?......are you kidding me?.....wow you are worse than Y2 at reading something into my questions and statements that obviously wasn't there.....and there was no backtracking or apologizing on my part bud......nothing to apologize for......and lastly if you don't like it, well you know what you can do about that......

  5. let me set you straight......i had absolutely no idea as to who put the brackets together or who first posted them.....i didn't even see them here on your website......i was emailed a picture of my sons bracket and that was it......sorry for your confusion......

  6. thank you karl.....i guess now that i have asked a couple questions and received actual answers, i would have to agree that it sounds as if the ihsaa did something wrong or is not following their own rules......seems like they owe everyone an explanation at the least.....

  7. well lets see if i or anyone else fully understood all of this no one would be posting anything....that is why people ask questions.....and i guess i have another one since i have such a hard time understanding things......who is it that handed out the brackets at merriville?.....an ihsaa official?......sorry i don't know that already.....

  8. is it possible that the brackets that were posted saturday night were just plain and simple, not properly done, and that the ihsaa did nothing wrong?.....they (the ihsaa) drew the brackets as they always do on sunday and the only one to blame for this mess is whomever put together the brackets saturday and posting something that wasn't right?

and then the next question is who put the brackets together saturday evening if the ihsaa didn't?.....or did they?

  9. While I tend to lean toward Sopko beating Schurg, I wouldn't bet on it. If you told me 4 years ago that Scottie Sopko's best showing at the state finals would be his freshman year, I would have disagreed wholeheartedly, but as it stands, a loss in the ticket round to Schurg can make that a reality.  Bad deal for both, Schurg finished 2nd last year and has a chance to not even be at Banker's Life in a week. Two kids I have really enjoyed watching over the past 4 years, it's a shame that one will be left home after Saturday's quarterfinals.

this seems to be the death draw of all death draws this year......for both of them......two great athletes but only one can move on.....

  10. It's based off of a very well thought out formula that for the most part looks at your returning juniors, sophmores and freshmen. When they first came up with it I thought it was way way overkill but in helping out with compiling data the first year, it really makes a lot of sense. As with anything there are pros and cons but in the end the best teams are crowned, at least in my opinion. I'd like to see someone come up with something better if people think it's so bad......

  11. james vs cash......has cash tuned up his game for james?......you know for sure coach seltzer has had tommy working hard on whatever was lacking during their last meeting.....wish i could be there to see this one!......i bet this will also be the state finals matchup......

  12. Elkhart Central's Issac Barrios makes the most of his transition from basketball to wrestling

Coming off a second straight Elkhart Sectional title, heavyweight wrestler Issac Barrios goes into the Goshen Regional on Saturday, Feb. 7, with a 24-3 record.
