    Many people, including myself were surprised when we saw Damian Gomez for Hammond Noll win over Dustin Schurg from Crown Point. Nobody knew of Gomez. He stepped it up, and came out of nowhere.

    Admission is $10. I believe finals start around 3ish or 4ish (CST). Correct me if I am wrong.

    There are also venues like... East Chicago Central 8, 296 Michigan City's gym 7, 304 Gary West Side with 7, 217 Lafayette Jeff with 7, 200 In reality, I don't see it moving from Merrillville anytime soon!!!

    Yeah it is very close. It sucks for Manspeaker and my brother Erik Ullery who both could be state qualifiers after getting 1 and 2 respectively at Rochester. My brother drew Tsirtsis and Manspeaker drew Mavros!

    That's not really that crazy. Micic only lost to Boston 5-3 in the semis at state last year!

    I just want to throw out some weight classes that will be exciting! 106 There is a lot of young, good talent in this weight class. You got Miracle, Davis, Olsen, Hartman and Sinkovics. There is some great wrestlers there. 132 I'm predicting this one will be between McHugh and Forte, but you got to watch out for Johnson, Randolph and Fowler. 160 Some of the top guys in the Merrillville Semi-State (Hack, Kolat and Stasiak) plus throwing in Bauters and Proctor. Should be a great weight class to watch. 285 4 out of the top 5 in the Merrillville Semi-State are here. Hall, Maggart, Dozier and Kaplanis are the big guys that are making some noise. Should be a great weight class. A lot of great wrestling tomorrow. Good luck to all the wrestlers/coaches.

    I think the Crown Point Regional is messed up. It has all the qualifiers for the Crown Point Sectional but when they list the qualifiers from the LaPorte Sectional, they're missing the champions and it has the Runner-ups through 5th place listed on the brackets?

    If you're annoyed by it, just cross them out with a Sharpie and place the new ones on it...it's that simple

    Bates from SB Washington. He was ranked 20th.

    My brother will be wrestling next week at 145, he is fine. 113 pounder for Clay got hurt real bad, so I don't know if he will be competing.

    Bates lost in the semi-final to the 5th seed from St. Joe. Had to wrestle back and had Stevens from Penn for the match to make it out and lost 2-1. Ferdig did not wrestle. I heard he had hematoma in his leg which made him sit out for this post-season.
