  1. Jimtown has 79.57. Lost 4 varsity starters and one of our varsity guys from last year isn't wrestling this year.
  2. Wait, why is Alex Rinehart listed as from Penn? Last time I knew, he was from new Prairie.
  3. 1. Perry Merridian 2. Evansville Mater Dei 3. Crown Point 4. Penn 5. Yorktown Just guesses here.
  4. They tore it up last night. There was a point where Tanner was getting a first down almost every play. Plus, Emelio Forrest caught a 27 yard pass for a touchdown and Dustin Chafin had 9 tackles with 4 assists, more than anyone else for Jimtown.
  5. Literally the first thing I told him after he came off the mat after beating Richards at the preseason open was that he'd be popular on Indianamat.
  6. Last time I was in the room with Lawrence, he was 176, shouldn't be too much of a problem for him to make 170, considering he cut nearly 15 pounds at one point last year. And Weinkauf from what I have heard weighs over 200, so the chances of him cutting to 170 are very slim. Tanner Adams says he'll probably go 182, so Weinkauf will probably go 195. And Casey Adams is going to go 160 again this year.
  7. 125 - Jarred Brooks, or Steven Micic if Brooks were too big. 133 - Kyle Ayersman 141 - Neal Molly 149 - Devon Jackson 157 - Jason Tsirtsis 165 - Quincy Richie 174 - Connor Mullins 184 - Tanner Lynde 197 - Mitch Sliga 285 - Abe Hall
  8. I wrestle him all the time, and it's hard to believe he is so flexible and quick for as big and strong as he is. I expect him to have a really good season and even though it's not common to go from JV to state, I can see it happening. Not to mention he was JV last year behind Brandon Weinkauf who came very close to making it to state last year.
  9. Thank you guys, and congrats to your son. 3rd place his first year as a cadet is actually really good.
  10. I'm not saying Jimtown will win it all... I've seen the projected Perry lineup and I can't see them getting beaten.
  11. Yeah, I know what you mean. Look at Trey Reese, he never cut all year and pinned his way through the state bracket.
  12. Sorry if you felt like I was just directing that toward you, it's just that whenever somebody talks about the top schools, Jimtown is never mentioned, and we did pretty well last year. Thanks for the good luck wish though!
  13. Jimtown never gets any credit... We're going to be stacked this year and we have a decent chance at making it to state this year.
  14. Wow, Brian Harvey jumped all the way from 130 to 152? or will he probably be dropping for the actual season?
  15. Jimtown has 6 returning varsity members playing football this year, but many returning JV members doing football.
  16. The only person from Jimtown that I know of to do so was Shaun Barnett. From what I have heard, he was JV freshman and sophomore year, state qualifier junior year, and state runner-up senior year.
  17. This might be my complete loyalty to Jimtown kicking in, but I agree a lot.
  18. Not sure who the most improved was, but Schuyler Phillips of Yorktown was impressive at the Preseason Open.
  19. It was a good match, your son is pretty good himself. It could have gone either way really. But the most amazing thing about Lawrence doing as well as he did is that he has only been wrestling since last October.
  20. 109 - #5 Nick Lee gets first 116 - #4 Schuyler Phillips over #1 Brandon James 129 - #2 Nick Crume over #1 Kyle Springer 163 - Unseeded Roy Daniels beats #1 Austin Niebarger first round and goes all the way to win. 185 - Unseeded Lawrence Davis beats #3 Andre Richards and places 4th. (He has less than a year of experience) Some that stand out.
  21. Nick Crume got 1st, Lawrence Davis got 4th, and Cody Koebel and I both went 1-2. Zach Slough got hurt first match, or he probably would have done good.
  22. After today's performance, I'd said keep an eye out for Lawrence Davis from Jimtown. Placed 4th at the preseason open at 185, beating third seeded Andre Richards first round. Plus, he'll be going 170 this year.
  23. The 185-288 weight classes have a total of 19 altogether, which is equal to 135 and less than 109 and 123.
