  1. Good evening wrestling fans I wanted to give a shout out to any programs looking for Fully Sublimated Custom Singlets and Apparel. I have a banner ad on this site for 3X Custom Wrestling Gear. This is great American Made product. Less expensive then other brand names. Reason for the post is if anyone is interested, this process take 4-5 weeks after design approval. Fully custom means you can put ANYTHING on these singlets, photos, illustrations, and they can be numbered individually for turn-ins after matches or the end of the season. With these singlets you have no setups, and 90 minutes of free Design time from a designer with 27 years of experience...Me. We also do custom S/S and L/S Sublimated shirt, and fight shorts. You can find my information on the banner on this site, or just call this cell 574-276-3779 Indiana HS Teams that have used this product recently are Culver Military, Penn HS, and SB Clay HS. Sorry, I don't know how to insert the link to the banner, or I would do that to make it easier. Hope to hear from you Brad Gettig Team Sales rep & Designer
  2. I was pumped, and I don't know how many people noticed during the break right before the consolation matches during warmups they play an obscure but excellent Zeppelin song, "Nobody's fault but mine", haunting guitar, and a great message for a brutal sport! Loved it!
  3. I have seen many post on the Subject of holding back of Middle School Kids for whatever reasons (Academic, Social Skills and Athletics), and here is my take on it. I can speak from Experience that I have a boy that is now a Junior, and his birthday is in April. One of the youngest kids in his class. He made Wrestling Varsity as a sophomore in one of the 5 biggest schools in the state of Indiana, and is in the top 20% of his Graduating class in GPA. I NEVER thought about holding him back for Academic or Athletic advantages, nor would I. That is a parents choice. I will however add the fact that I find it humorous when I hear about the social aspects/maturity of the child fitting in moving from Middle School into High School as a Freshman. I find it funny, because the parents didn't think it was a problem in Grade School, or Middle school to be with his/her peers socially, and maturity wise, but now it's an issue moving into High School?? I personally know of parents that have done this for all the wrong reasons (Athletic), and some that have done it for the correct reasons (they didn't realize until Middle school that they child academically was not ready for HS Curriculum, and needed ONE extra year, .....not TWO) Just a Dad, that has been thru it, and I know I made the right choice, and I am at peace with it. Cool points, who cares, I have none, and I am cool enough without them, LOL! just sayin' Panther out.
  4. Penn's 2011 Disney Dual Singlets, totally Sick! Love em'
  5. Congrats Tanner! I had the pleasure of getting to know Tanner, Braden, Coach Atwood and his son Mike at the 2010 Disney duals. Great people. The Atwoods and Tanner treated my young son with great respect, and I cannot wait to see these two young men reunited at Purdue this Fall.
  6. Great wrestling, and I like the young man. He had the crowd humming with some of his exciting moves. Many in the state have not had the pleasure of watching him wrestle, and he, Petrov, and T-shirts all made it worth the price of admission. A great night of wrestling. But to the subject of taking to the mat to grab the ankle band in the state finals. I can honestly say that I have watched brooks wrestle for 7 years, and he has always done this even in middle school. Does it bother me as a fan? Yes. Only because I believe you should give the winner of the previous match his respect and just due, before you jump onto the mat. Especially at a State finals so the pictures by fans and parents can be snapped, and all hard work can be relished by all in that brief moment in time that they will remember the rest of their lives. Things happen, let's try to remember Young Mr. Brooks for being a dominant state champion at 113lb this year, and wish him the best of luck at Indiana Tech. Congrats, always a fan good luck in college. Panther out.
  7. OUCH! Come on Semi-state and State Finals, so all this can be put to rest! ;D
  8. Penn Vs. 9. Call me Crazy, but I am taking Micic at 106 this year!
  10. 106 Davis (P) overSinkovics (M) 113 Hart (P) over Wordlaw (SBR) 120 B. Varner (P) over Emmons (M) 126 Juarez (SBR) over Martslof (M) 132 Forte (M) over Fowler (SBW) 138 Macri (M) over Hartman (SBC) 145 Manspeaker (P) over White (SBW) 152 Ginter (P) over Jones (M) 160 Proctor (M) over Stasiak (P) 170 Anderson (SBR) over Jankowski (SBSJ) 182 Crain (SBR) over Demel (P) 195 Skipper (SBA) over Allen (SBC) 220 Regan (P) over Gallegos (SBC) 285 Maggart (P) over Dozier (SBR)
  11. Penn wins Team title. Penn had 7 individual champs and puts 13 thru to Regionals.
  12. I respect you opinion MishCaveFan, but we will agree to disagree on this, as Penn was not at full strength either at the time of the meet and was missing a few of their starters too. I still as an impartial observer contend that Penn would win the duel with both teams having all starters in the lineup, but unfortunetely we will never know. But good luck to all NIC Sectional teams this Saturday, there ought to be some great wrestling, and Mishawaka puts on a top notch sectional. Panther out
  13. Penn Still wins this Sectional, regardless if MHS had their full lineup in. It would be close, but Penn by 8.
  14. Not to take anything away from EMHS, they have one of the best teams they have had in years, but an individual tournament versus a head to head are 2 totally different things. They wrestled fantastic at Al Smith and at their own Charger invitational where they came out ahead of the kingsmen. But, individual tournament are seeding and luck of the draw, head to head. I have to give the nod to Penn.
  15. Elkhart Memorial will not beat Penn in a head to head dual, and Penn has already beaten the Jimmies soundly this year. I look for a 12-15 point victory in a Head to head matchup with the Chargers and Kingsmen.
  16. LOL Loki, if he is than that makes perfect sense! ;D, if so my bad too Funny.
  17. QUOTING INDIANAWRESTLING GUY : "As for the CP match, all football players weren't even all reported by the time of the Traicoff as is customary every year we get to the State Football Finals. There were multiple people not down to weight. Um what??, when was the last time the Bulldogs went to the State football Finals??? I believe they were smacked down by Penn in the Regionals this year. So the Bulldogs wrestlers had an extra 2 weeks over all state finalist teams. Please correct me if I am wrong, Doesn't mean it still wasn't hard for some of these guys to get into wrestling shape after going that far, but please state the facts next time Panther out.
  18. If this was posted beforehand I apologize. Does anyone have a full list of teams at this years Al Smith? Panther out.
  19. Great job as usual Rankings Guy. FYI, while reviewing I notice under the 120lb class, the 106 lb rankings were double posted in that link. Thanks for your hard work putting these together.
  20. Corey Gettig suffered a broken right collarbone in a match against Sam Ferdig at the NIC tournament. He is out for the remainder of the season, but there is a possibility I heard that he might be back for Team State if Penn makes it that far, and he heals properly and is cleared by his parents and doctor. Panther out.
  21. How many times, and the wrestle-offs are all pretty confidential at Penn. The Kids name is Corey Gettig. And from what I understand, he just beat the #2 Ranked Div 2 Lakeshore Michigan kid 9-6 last night. Panther out
  22. Merry Christmas Rankings Guy, you do a GREAT Job! Just curious to know, at 112, there is a Senior from Elkhart Central Abraham Que. He is ranked 2nd in the Pre-Season Fort Wayne semi-state. Just Curious how he is not ranked in the top 16 combined. I believe this young man is either undefeated, or has one loss. Tough Kid. I have no affiliation with that school, but have seen him wrestle, and he is a quality 112 Panther out!
  23. I meant Tuesday the 28th, and Wednesday the 29th. I am pretty sure this is correct. Please verify if it has changed and been moved to the 29th, and 30th. Panther out.
  24. Thanks for the list of schools, Much appreciated. The event is actually schedule for 12/29-12/30 Wednesday and Thursday. Panther out.
  25. Is there a list of all Teams participating in this year's Al Smith??
