Dolbydude
I would rather go to Shelbyville and put a 1000.00 on a three legged horse with a blind jockey riding backwards then bet on that one TripleB. I'm not sure how that response got by me, but it made me chuckle.
maligned
I am a purest when it comes to the State Championship in wrestling. The way Indiana did it was flawed because it started with and individual tourneys results (sectional winners advanced) and folded it into a Team tourney from there. If you look at all the times in the state two teams both competed in an individual tournament together and wrestled each other in a dual, the dual result comes out the same as the tournament placement almost 80% of the time--even considering like 26th place over 27th unpredictable sorts of results with no connection to duals strength. Tournaments are very predictive of duals ability. Winning teams only win duals re-matches in the same season at a slightly better rate than that. In other words, the old system was fine in terms of determining who should be in the duals portion of the tournament.
