tsskinne
Title says it all. We have an old mat not really suitable for competition and taking up a lot of space. We are interested in having it cut into smaller pieces and sold off for home practice mats. Does anyone have experience doing this....or hiring out for a service that can do this? Thank you in advance. -Tommy Skinner
Fabio Jr.
I was told cutting a mat is not a real new thing. We have a One piece mat because someone thought that would be a good idea and have looked in to getting it cut in to sections. Shouldnt be too difficult. Y2CJ41
We cut a couple different older mats up last year to fit into the wrestling room. We just used a utility knife.
Bash513
I heard you can only cut 1.5% of the mat per week so keep that in mind...
KoontzDaddy
While we are talking about it, I am interested in purchasing a section of mat for home use. If anyone has some they want to get rid of, please let me know.
Ds Dad
I'm looking for a home mat too. Would be willing to take what you cut if you decide to do it. Might take a bigger piece if you want to cut different. Let me know!
El Conquistador
Years ago our high school got rid of an old mat and I took one of the three strips that made up the whole mat and cut it into thirds with a new razor knife in nothing flat. Kept one for myself and gave the other two away. I believe it measured 11 x 14 which is perfect for a two car garage.
