Controversial call of Dake's standing reversal.

kd-reversal_zps59e9faa0.gif

The screen image seems to show that Dake somewhat behind Taylor, with possibly a head and arm wrapped (hard to tell from angle may even be body wrapped), and maybe his back foot on the ground.  If this is the case I can see the ref's argument for a standing reversal prior to out of bounds roll.  With the action happening so quickly I'm surprised the ref caught this position (maybe they really didn't), but the screen cap helps to show Dake at least had some type of hold in at the end and it wasn't just a scramble.

Controversial none escape call at end.

The two screen image seems to show Dake has his right arm still around Taylor's left leg (not sure if the 1sec. screen cap would change that).  From the angle though it is hard to tell if Dake's left arm is burried in the mat or wrapped around the inside of Taylor's left leg.  Guessing an image from a different angle would help to clear up just how clear Taylor was or wasn't.  If Dake's left arm isn't on the leg I'm guessing you would have to look at what control really is to establish if having one stretched out arm still around the leg is enough to say control is maintained.

Another big match between the two and I would expect the NCAA final (baring a major upset) to have just as much excitement.

need the picture of the gramby where Dakes hands are unlocked and doesnt have control. But the ref doesnt have the replay after replay we have

End of match roll (4 sec left)

Dake breaks lock but it looks like his right arm still around Taylors left leg. (3 sec. left)

Dake may still have arm around Taylor's leg hard to tell from screen angle.  (still 3 sec left so it transpires in less than a seconds which would make it hard for the ref's to tell in a scramble even if they were in position)

Dake wrappes tighter around the leg with his right arm, but form angle it's hard to tell where is left arm is (4 sec.)

FYI I'm borrowing these screen shots from a themat.com post where they are having several spirited discussion's on this topic.
