GAT36
Portage defeats 45-27. Probably much closer than it should have been. The big news here, was that Chris Kastafaros was wrestling at 145#.

Muckman_1999
It was a good match, and could have been even closer. only 4 pins all night... Stephenson and Jara bumped up for Mville... Of course, Garza, Garcia,ad Stephenson looked really good for Mville. Deluna did not wrestle...looked to be injured...i also thought Michael martin looked really tough in beating a good chris gallo. Valpo has a dramatically improved program from top to bottom. 4 years ago valpo was the bottom of the Dac and did not win one match in the DAC. Their competitiveness, toughness, and depth is much better from top to bottom. Valpo also had some key seniors out of the lineup. Coach Smith deserves a lot of credit for turning around the Vikes. Valpo is going to be tough down low with 106 Schwartz(12) 113 bravo(12) Gallo(12) And Buckley(12) when he comes back with Neal in the middle Plus Luke Davis when he returns

GAT36
Sorry about that last post. Portage beat Chesterton. Why it shouldn't have been so close is Portage won 9 matches to Chesterton's 5. Of the 5 matches Chesterton won 4 were pins, 3 of which were in close matches in the 3rd period.
GAT36
So Darden Schurg is wrestling at 138? 126 Fuqua, 132 Burlison, 138 Schurg? That's a nasty trio to run into.
Does Your Dog Bite
another Schurg at 45 and another Schurg at 52...
