the situation Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 i can say it was the worst feeling ever lookin at my semi state brackets sunday mornin and seein one quarter have 4 unranked wrestlers with 11 or more losses and while mine had 2 ranked with only 4 losses between the 2 of us. julio Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I've drawn up a plan to make the State Tournament series go 3 weeks and have wrestlebacks at each level with advancing the true top 4 from each level. Keeping in mind the way the IHSAA runs the other sports and making it possible to class it if they want. But nobody listens to me, so it just sits in my desk collecting dust. hammer Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 While I am in favor of wrestlebacks, and if any level deserves them the most, it would be SS, I can see the counter point to having them there as well. Under our current system I have seen wrestlers come in as a 3 or 4 seed and knock off two favored wrestlers to make it to State. It doesn't seem fair to tell that same kid that instead of taking 4th place, we are now going to give someone who lost earlier another shot, at his expense.
