purpleace
Is this something we should worry about having only 1 second place , 2 third and 2 fourth place finishes at Semi - State , and Crown Point looking much stronger at their Semi ? MattM
Last finalist was Alex Weinzapfel in 08 Last champion was Matt Coughlin in 05 So, it seems more like they are building themselves back to get some guys under the spot light rather than not living up most peoples start of the year expectations. They are getting things back on track compared to the previous few years. It may just take a couple more to have the semi-finals and finals impact they once had at state. Even without the true studs just yet the group they have is solid enough to bring home some state placement and contend for the team title. 219spladle
It could have been much much worse. Crown Point should have sent more , the 119 and the 125 should have went and Seroff at 112 did not wrestle very smart against the kid from Twin Lakes he looked as if he took him for granted . BlueBolt
BlueBolt State Champion Cool Points: 31 [wahoo] [boo] Posts: 1,096 No doubt! But the 112 ticket match was heading the wrong way until a spladle was applied. Just one example. Re: Mater Dei 0 - Champs ? ? Reply #1 on: Today at 09:09:53 AM ? MatCat2011
MD will have a State Champ This Year. John Sims!
gstemv81
Sims has to be considered a big underdog at this point. Injured or not, he's managed to avoid Welch all this season after losing head to head last year more than once. Looking tough in the semi-state consolations this year after defaulting the semis to Welch (again) loses a lot of style points in anybody's book. ontherise219
Crown Point should have sent more , the 119 and the 125 should have went and Seroff at 112 did not wrestle very smart against the kid from Twin Lakes he looked as if he took him for granted . Harvey and Ayala was close and so was Denton and Saroff but Burluson wrestled Garcia 3 times this year and lost all 3.
