BB145
I was just curious of anyone out there having some good stories about wrestlers on your team, you coach or know that have really excelled in a short amount of time. Say they started out as a freshman with a 8-15 record then by senior year are state place winners.
decbell1
Someone from Adams Central could give you some details about Mr. Schwartz. He had a pretty miserable freshman year, and was a state qualifier as a sophomore.

AC Computer
Perfect Example Jarod just got his 100th win on Saturday and is 35-2 on the year, so it wasn't a 1-year, hot tournament, situation.
maligned
We had an offensive lineman wanting to improve his body control and footwork come out for wrestling as a junior and become the varsity heavyweight, never having wrestled before. Just with aggression and some balance, he was able to finish something like 14-16 that year. He continued to learn, figured out a little offense, and went 34-7 his senior year--losing in the ticket round at semi-state with only 2 seasons of wrestling in his life. Obviously, heavyweight can tend to be different from some weights, but I still always thought it was a cool story. He went on to have some success as a guard in college.
