NickS
I haven't seen anyone mentioning the fact this is the 10th season for the State Finals at Conseco. To commemorate this event, I'd like to post my top wrestlers for each weight class since the Conseco Era. I was looking through the past results and records on the IHSAA page and this is what I came up with. I wanted to stay away from certain wrestlers being in multiple weight classes, but I'd still like to see other peoples' thoughts. 103 - Aaron Clark (Franklin) '00-01 112 - Josh Harper (Mishawaka) '06-07 119 - Gralan Early (Fort Wayne North Side) '02-03 125 - Alex Ramos (Hobart) '99-00 130 - Reece Humphrey (Lawrence North) '04-05 135 - Angel Escobedo (Griffith) '04-05 140 - J.T. Young (Bloomington South) '00-01 145 - Alex Tsirtsis (Griffith) '03-04 152 - Matt Coughlin (Evansville Mater Dei) '04-05 160 - Andrew Howe (Hanover Central) '07-08 171 - Blake Maurer (Evansville Mater Dei) '03-04 189 - Nathan Moore (Perry Meridian) '01-02 215 - Matt Hasbrook (Indianapolis Cathedral) '99-00 285 - Dexter Larimore (Merrillville) '05-06 Some of my honorable mentions... 130 - Eric Galka 140 - Eric Keith, Nick Walpole 145 - Jamal Lawrence, Brennan Cosgrove 152 - Kurt Kinser 160 - Bryce Hasseman, Paul Young 171 - Marcus Schontube, Ben Wissel, Cooper Samuels 215 - Jake O'Brien 285 - Greg Wagner Wrestlers that I think that can crack the 10th Anniversary team this year... 119 - Justin Brooks 125 - Cashe' Quiroga
XCard
I believe you are a year off. Next year will be the 10th season at the fieldhouse. That is probably why nobody is mentioning it.
RankingsGuy
this actually is the 10th anniversary XCard. The first one at Conseco was in 2000. '00, '01, '02, '03, '04, '05, '06, '07, '08, and this year '09 makes
PurduePete
I think he is right that this is the 10th year (00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09) that's 10 but anyway I'm not sure about Justin Brooks being on there...He has 3 medals (5th, 4th, 4th) but there are a few you may be leaving off. Eric McGill comes to mind as one (2nd, injured, champ, champ)

I don't think he'd crack the top of any of his weight classes though. I wouldn't put him ahead of Alex Ramos at 125 (McGill's jr. season) or J.T. Young at 140 (McGill's sr. season). STARSMAN
Id throw Kasten in there at hwt. He did beat Larimore, and on more than one occasion i believe.
XCard
Hey my bad, I stand corrected. Did not count '00.
goul149
I'd say Danny Williams needs to be added to that list 2 time champ and a 3rd place. Especially with winning his senior year with an injured ankle that reduced him to wrestling the minimum number of times during the tourney.
