At a home meet earlier this season, Franklin Community’s announcer had trouble with the audio for the Star Spangled Banner. Not missing a beat, Coach Hasseman went over, grabbed the mic, went to center mat and with hand over heart led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance . . . -

Is that for both days? It looked like it was only for tomorrow (12/29) when I looked it up on track.

The Franklin freshman wrestler was on bottom near the out of bounds on the side of the mat in front of me, with Pruett on top of him leading 14-0. The Franklin wrestler jerked his head back into Pruett’s face. Pruett then hit the Franklin kid in the back of the head with a closed fist. There was no “cross face” . . . There were two refs working the match. They conferred and made their decision (head butt on Franklin kid, flagrant on Pruett) that led to Pruett being disqualified.
