Oh yes the MD crowd chanting DAN JANKOWSKI!! Then bam the slop drop and Hobart fans go nuts. Never seen MD fans so quiet in my life. What an amazing dual. Also though the rotten officiating in the 171 lb match hitting the Hobart kid with 2 stalling calls in like 15 seconds. Has to be one of the best duals ever.
Thats awesome. Im a big fan of Jerrods wrestling just was hoping to see him compete at this. Good luck with the rest of your competitions Jerrod!! Also great to see Ayersman aboard!!
Seriously? You stated he has SATs thats great, but now your comments sound like he is choosing not to wrestling because he wants to spend time with family and he has already done enough for Indiana wrestling. Which is it? Don't get me wrong either it's his choice to do whatever. I just love watching him wrestle and he would make our team that much tougher.
SATs are one thing, but bigger tourneys shouldn't be a reason why someone doesn't compete in this event. Its one dual meet to represent your state and a chance to compete against a state that looks down on us in terms of wrestling.
Sorry bout the confusion Y2. It was only 2 times they met each other after the state finals. Folkstyle state and the wabash camp. Good luck to both guys!!
Ok Y2 heres what it was. They wrestled at folkstyle state, a national tourney, and at the Wabash team camp. So some people would count that others may not, but that does add up to 3 matches. All 3 won by Mr. Quiroz. Like I said hope this match happens and it would be under the lights!!
Quiroz was a 2 last year and yes he was dominated by Lefever. Does anyone know the outcome of their 3 meetings after the state finals. Of course it was out of season, but Quiroz turned the tables with 3 solid wins against him. Hope to see this match happen again!!
This is 23 for me. My first was seeing Lance Ellis his senior year complete perfection. I was in awe of how he was taken down early only to clap his hands a few times and get into the down position. Shortly after standing up and hitting this crazy lateral launching the kid to his back for the fall then the backflip and the four fingers held high on each hand. That was pretty cool. Also our relatively unknown hometown stud Rob Pavletic craddling his way to a state title. Remember thinking no one will ever win 4 titles let alone going undefeated again. Then wondering if the next freshman to win a title was the chosen one. Getting the opportunity to watch most of Alex Tsirtsis's matches during his historical run was very enjoyable. I can go on and on bottom line is the wrestling state finals is the most exciting event year in and year out!! Cant wait.
Hey xbrick132. It's Scoot. I know I probably never told you this, but it's better late than never. I just wanted to thank you for the time you put in with all of us. I know you made me want to do better just so I could impress you. (which wasn't an easy thing to do.)lol Anyway you always pushing us has helped me in life when things got tough. So thanks again I hope you are doing well and maybe I will see you at state and I can buy you a beer.
