  1. WOW! What a 4 years . I appreciate the positive comments about Tommy . He really loves wrestling as if you couldn't tell by his giant smile on the big screen. The thing is , he would have smiled that big at any spot on the podium because that is the kind of young man he is. I on the other hand really tried to be like the coolest wrestling dad ever (Ben LeCount) but fell short of keeping my composure in excitement . I want to give a Big Congratulations to the Lee Family . We think the world of their family and have tons of respect for them. By far one of the most humble and deserving families there is . There is no doubt Nick and Joe will make history for Indiana , in State and around the World. Most people probably haven't even met Matt Lee yet . C'mon Man ! They keep coming ! Sorry Justice . Keep training because I know the Lee's will. On to the next 4 years . I can only hope we are as blessed
  2. Congratulations to the wrestlers and Coaching staff on winning Sectionals and Regionals this season. Great Job Coach Seltzer !
  3. Humphrey in finals with Oliver . Micic close match but lost to Angel
  4. Angel lose to Graff 4-1 Humphrey wins 6-4 Simmons win by fall
  5. Micic win by forfeit against Aware
  6. Freestyle Starts Tomorrow . 9 am mountain time 57 KG is really good brackets are up Greco is done
  7. Tim Prayers from the Cash family and we wish Paul a quick recovery.
  8. If Hudkins can finish this season the way he wrestled this summer , no one in Indiana will come close . And he still has great hair
  9. I must be a die hard wrestling fan because I can not wait until Saturdays . Not only do I love watching my son wrestle but I love watching others from around the state . There is only about 8 weeks to compete so that is hardly a sacrifice to enjoy this great sport . At least at a super dual if a wrestler gets a forfeit they most likely to get at least a couple matches either way . It very discouraging for a wrestler to train , make weight have friends and family rush out of work travel in traffic and just have a coach withhold a wrestler or bump around or just have a sick kid. Either way they don't get a match. Wrestling is not just a sport it is a culture . It is not for everyone . It was mentioned last night that most of these kids train year round now compared to the past . The biggest reason is because of the parent participation. The parents have to buy in or there are no private wrestling programs or 100.00 shoes . The only benefit I see to a shorter schedule is less times a wrestler has to make weight . Lets wrestle 3 duals in a week making weight 3 x , bet the wrestlers wont like that. Wrestle 1 x a week only benefits the better programs or deeper rooms . Some wrestlers need to get the benefit of several matches in a day and when your kid is a senior , you don't want to see it end . I cant believe it is almost time for sectionals !
  10. Hey I am just happy for the consideration but I would wear it with pride . size large of course .
  11. Does this mean I can't win a shirt? I can't say I have met very many people involved with NUWAY but I have had a positive experience with those I have . I am sure the same could be said about most organizations having good and bad representatives but I will say that NUWAY/HYWAY will need to be more cordial to maintain a relationship with the Indiana wrestling community .
  12. I hate to say it but I think the coordination effort it took to put that many categories of wrestling as far as different divisions of college youth and high school in one weekend was a much bigger ordeal than bouncing around Indiana's elementary duals. My family has been involved with wrestling nationally for a long time and within the past few years it is almost impossible to accommodate everyone everything at any time . The positive is there are so many wrestling tournaments it gives you a great opportunity to compete the con is there so many wrestling tournaments it's hard to attract everyone to all of them. NUWAY has put on some of the best and well ran tournaments that we have been to . They are at the forefront of youth and high school wrestling in my opinion . they are helping to bridge the gap between the East Coast and the west coast by joining forces with Rocky Mountain National and the UFC they are very progressive and doing more for wrestling as a whole . I cannot speak highly enough of the people that I have come in contact with at NUWAY but they truly care about wrestling and the wrestlers . They may be a for-profit business but they give an abundance of money back to the wrestling community and spend a lot of money on delivering a great product . And I think it's safe to say they were at the forefront of pushing flo wrestling when they use to run around with a camcorder around their tournaments and track wrestling before anybody else knew what it was.
  13. I am not there but my wife took a team in division 14 up and the teams we are facing are very tough . PA has a couple loaded teams for sure and Iowa . Our team is getting 8 matches running ahead of schedule and got to watch some great college wrestling . Its disappointing Indiana couldn't represent better with such a tournament at our house . We take more teams across country . There were so many teams that went to Michigan this year she didnt even attempt to take a team to Christmas Duals for the first time in 11 years .
  14. Besides Coach Seltzer's talents he has consistently kept a strong Coaching staff and has gotten a lot more commitment out of his wrestlers over the last season . Buy in as some would say . GO CATS !
  15. Correct . I forgot about that one. 3 losses
  16. LN was missing Nick Smith and James Turner. It's early in the season and a long way to go but it's awesome what Coach Seltzer has done with this group of kids in just a couple seasons. So far the only two losses on the season come to portage.
  17. Don't be surprised to see Derek Noon jump to the top of that list.
  18. 138 is easy for Cash to make but wouldn't be surprised to see someone else move up to 38 from 32 . Although after watching him eat today I am glad LN is not wrestling this week end . I think he has a hollow leg .
  19. High Rollers win The Ultimates in Vegas Bonus Win 2 of the 3 OW Belts Watch Blake Rypel And Jose Champagne accept their belts live tonight on Ultimate Fighter Finale Championships on Fox 1
  20. Indiana High Rollers Black 106 Colton Cummings. 7-3 113 Breyden Bailey. 6-4 120. Brock Hudkins. 10-0 126. Niko Barrantes 5-5 132. Jack Chastain 6-4 138. Tommy Cash. 8-2 145. Drew Hughs. 8-2 152. Jose Champagne 8-2 160. Brendon Kelly. 8-2 170. Brendon Helm 4-6 182. Blake Rypel. 8-2 195. Randy Scott. 6-4 220. Gunner Larson. 5-5 Hwt.
