  1. I learned that you can take almost complete strangers and put them together on a team (team indiana) and in the end have them turn around and be some of the best friends you ever had and become in some cases closer than brothers.....
  2. I am a lineman apprentice for Duke Energy. Turning peoples power on climbing poles and towers and freezing to death in Northern Indiana...
  3. The tournament series is going to be interesting this year. Only time will tell though.
  4. Fuderich should drop down and wrestle Richey and get some actual competition before his tough sectional next weekend. Just a thought take it or leave it.
  5. haha....i think if your not cutting weight your not working hard.....that is my philosophy.....im not even talking major weight small amounts make you work just a little harder to.....but anyways my last tournament i wrestled in i wrestled 66kg (145.5) weighed in on a friday night saturday morning (11am) i stepped on the scale and weighed 169.5....thats hard work...haha
  6. the most comfortable wrestling shoes i have ever worn were my red and black combat speeds....the soles recently ripped out....hey y2 what size and how much do you want for them....seriously send me a personal message if you are interested in a sale...
  7. HAHA...man this is a loaded question...First off correction Rachel Monroe from Sullivan High School was Indiana's first female sectional champion (2002). Its hard to put a woman in the same category as a man in the sport of wrestling. I have had the unique oppurtunity to wrestle with some of the best women's wrestlers in the country ( Randy Miller, Marry Kelly) just to name a few. I think women wrestlers should have there own class in high school because it would level the playing field for them ( i know there are some girls winning against boyz but far and few between) and build there confidence to pursue the sport further for future women in the sport. Just my thought on things since i have seen all ranges of female wrestling from elementry to the best in the world.
  8. southwest part of the state....terre haute is about thirty minutes away...
  9. My one year anniversary is coming up in about two weeks. Are there any seasoned veterans of the marital world that have any good ideas for me? Shootem back if so.
  10. Ok Ok fearless fly you got me there maybe i should have looked in my dictionary before i said the word hurt, or maybe i shouldve just said im an advocate of putting someone in intense discomfort.
  11. Indiana at times has standouts but never will be a powerhouse if we dont stop treating Greco like the blacksheep of wrestling styles. We as a wrestling community put so much weight on folkstyle and have in recent years taken away from freestyle and greco by extending the folkstyle season. So if we are even going to think about producing champions at the national level we need to put the same efforts into are Greco Roman programs and trainings as we do our folk/freestyle programs. That is just my thoughts. Let me know what you all think.
  12. GrecoCoach- I in no way shape or form teach my kids to hurt anybody, but i am an advocate for inflicting pain. If you put somebody in pain they will do what you want them to. If i think that they purposely tried to sideline somebody actions would be taken. For this poor kid that got disqualified i think he was cheated and that the refs made a harsh call, but they made it.
  13. chargersbeasts- Very well put, i dont think the kid finishing the move had any malicous intent but things do happen in our sport.
  14. Wrestling is as brutal as it gets. Its controlled combat, and if you dont think its brutal watch the Brands brothers. Did you happen to see Andrew Howes face after competing at the NCAA tournament this year? Looked pretty brutal
  15. As a thrower i love this move...i agree it shouldve been a five and period over....and wrestling is a brutal sport alot less brutal than it was in anceint times when you could break fingers and you were naked.....
  16. Q: What do you get when you add 25 female pigs and 25 male deer? A: Fifty-sows and bucks!!!
  17. Alright navy80 im going to hurrry and cut a bunch of weight i sure dont want to be thrown for five...haha
  18. 163 that is normally where everyone is...
  19. yeah i aam going to what weight class you going
  20. Are there going to be any older guys (university, senior) going ill wrestle up if ther are going to be anyone around....let me know
  21. There were so many times at perry i would have loved to choked some parents in the gym where the little guys were wrestling. The tournament was already going slow but there was a certain group that argued every single stinking call the refs made. I am not going to say i dont argue with the refs because ive been warned several times but there is a certain extent that you just have to stop. It was border line rediculous.
  22. CoachRyan_Delta ill be there tomorrow night and saturday....ill be asking for matches probably have them anounce it for exhibition tomorrow night and saturday so im sure we can work something out...hope to see you there
  23. As long as they dont weigh over 200lbs ill wrestle them....as long as they promise not to squash me....i still have to go to work monday..haha
  24. Any old guys going to be there i dont really want to pay an entry fee to not wrestle, even exhibitions will do. I weigh about 165 will wrestle up if necessary. If any takers find me at meet ill be the guy asking for matches.
