  1. How many points does each team have to play with when it comes to their schedule?
  2. How does the point system breakdown again? 4 points for duals and then 14 counting sectional or 16?
  3. Whitley from Floyd is my candidate for a dark horse. Beating Lahue last year should show what he is capable of.
  4. The already weak southridge sectional loses 12 regional qualifiers and gains 2 with the change.
  5. Bailey Lahue from the Evansville area? That may be a stretch
  6. And Lahue is a freshman and will only give a half hearted effort because he has 3 years left? Cmon now the kid brought his A game this weekend and had a very very tough kid on his back within probabaly 20 seconds.
  7. This seems like the closest these two sectionals have been in years. Here are my much anticipated picks. 106 Kennedy - Floyd Shouldn't have many problems with this group. Burton - Paoli Lynch - New Albany Nawl - Vincennes Lincoln 113 Lahue - Corydon 1-1 on the year now with Whitley, I wouldn't bet against the freshman this weekend. Whitley - Floyd Schitter - Jasper Graber - Washington 120 Shepherd - Jeff If he breaks a sweat, it will be during his warmups. Popp - Floyd Eckert - Jasper Ramirez - Southridge 126 Jamison - New Albany Deep class of good wrestlers. I'll take the one with a chip on his shoulder from last week. Schremp - Jeff Meenach - New Wash Kersteins - Jasper 132 Marler - Floyd It will be another battle but Marler is more battle tested. Griffith - Providence Meza - Washington Chavez - Jasper 138 Troutman - Floyd Guy just gets the job done. Brescher - Jasper Meza - Washington Stuart - Charlestown 145 Mundy - Southridge The "other" sectional gets on the board. Emily - Floyd Fridley - Jeff Kempf - Providence 152 Burnette - Mitchell Colt "Like the horse" Burnette makes daddy proud. Browner - Jeff Franklin - New Wash Stenftenagel - Jasper 160 Abell - Forrest Park Abell looks a level above the rest in this class. Kaelin - Providence Dean - New Wash Rice - Paoli 170 Marlin - Jeff Man is this weight loaded or what? I like Marlin and his tough sched in this matchup. Stetter - Southridge Shepard - Paoli Hall - Charlestown 182 Cissell - Washington Has looked really good so far this year. Randall - Floyd McCutcheon - Charlestown Songer - Jasper 195 Curtley - Jeff A beast at this weight class Valenciano - Jasper Schwinghammer - Southridge Lynch - New Albany 220 Andry - Paoli Big Ram should roll Ottersbach - Floyd Hedrick - Washington Leasor - New Albany HWT Phillips - Mitchell Do not make Mongo mad Schoweppe - Southridge Miller - Pike Central Jolley Little - Jeff
  8. The seeds did not go quite as I saw them working out so I am re-issuing my predictions. The vast majority stick to the seeds but there are a few differences. Enjoy tearing them apart. Lets see some others unless we are in agreement that I truly know all. 106 Kennedy-Floyd Lynch- New Albany Jones- Jeff Gray- Eastern 113 Lahue- Corydon Whitley- Floyd Central Laughead- New Albany Weekly- Jeff 120 Shepherd- Jeff Popp- Floyd Peavler- New Albany Haynes- Charlestown 126 Meenach- New Wash Jamison- New Albany Schremp- Jeff Strobel- Floyd 132 Marler- Floyd Griffith- Providence Crase- New Wash DeLeon- Jeff 138 Gregory- Providence Troutman- FLoyd Lowe- Jeff Stuart- Charlestown 145 Emily- Floyd Kempf- Providence Fridley- Jeff Engle- Salem 152 Browner- Jeff Franklin- New Wash Scott- New Albany Meldrum- Floyd 160 Herron-Floyd Dean- New Wash Kaelin- Providence Terry- Eastern 170 Hall- Charlestown Marlin- Jeff Bagwell- Floyd Fernandez- Providence 182 McCutcheon- Charlestown Randall- Floyd Lee- New Albany Spangler- Jeff 195 Curtly- Jeff Youtsey- Floyd Lynch- New Albany Hoff- Charlestown 220 Ottersbach-Floyd Leaser- New Albany Brown- Jeff Enteman- Charlestown HWT Jolley Little-Jeff Crawley- Providence Carver- Corydon Koehler- Floyd
  9. Using the HHC, SIWC and Jeff Classic results and any other results I could find I figured I would get the ball rolling on the predictions. Probably a few changes to weights and head to head results I missed but here goes nothing. Jeff Floyd New Albany Charlestown Providence New Washington Eastern Corydon Christian Academy Salem 106 Terrance Kennedy Floyd Jasi Coureur Jeff Trey Lynch New Albany Jordan Gray Eastern Luke Woods Charlestown 113 Bailey Lahue Corydon Chris Whitley Floyd Central Doty Christian Academy Laughead New Albany 120 Sheppard Jeff Peavler New Albany Popp Floyd Murner Providence Haynes Charlestown 126 Meenach New Wash - I know Shremp won the head to head already but Meenach is wrestling much better than at the Jeff Classic so he gets the nod. Shremp Jeff Jamison New Albany Strobel Floyd 132 Marler Floyd Griffith Providence Crase New Wash De Leon Jeff 138 Gregory Providence Troutman Floyd Lowe Jeff Heil Charlestown 145 Emily Floyd Fridley Jeff Kempf Providence Dunn Christian Academy 152 Browner Jeff Franklin New Wash Scott New Albany Hauber Providence 160 Herron Floyd Dean New Wash Kaelin Providence Terry Eastern 170 Hall Charlestown Marlin Jeff Randall Floyd Fernandez Providence 182 McCutchen Charlestown Lee New Albany Spangler Jeff Bagwell Floyd 195 Curtley Jeff Lynch New Albany Hoff Charlestown Hayes Providence 220 Ottersbach Floyd Leasor New Albany Brown Jeff Enteman Charlestown HWT Jolley Little Jeff Carver Corydon Crawley Providence Cross New Albany

  11. So Lahue beats Shepard 4-2 in OT then on Saturday beats Whitley 5-1. Does that mean that the three best 113 lbers in the semi-state are all going to wrestle in the Jeff Sectional? This guy thinks so.
  12. I was told that Kennedy coudlnt hang with Lahue this offseason. Could see that matchup this weekend but Kennedy would have to come to 113 to have that happen. I think Floyd still has Whitley there though so chances do not look good on getting the Kennedy and Lahue matchup this weekend.
  13. I spoke to his brother two days ago and he told me that Bailey would be going 113 with Matthew going 106. Imo that makes Bailey 2nd at 113 with Matthew near the top at 106. Just one mans opinion but at those low weight classes I could see both Lahues having a very very good year.
  14. I was told by a very good source last week that Bailey Lahue was going whichever weight his brother left open. Either 106 or 113. This should in my opinion place him, at the end of the year , on one of the taller podium steps at Conseco.
  15. You must be joking about Jeffersonville. They hardly show for their own sectional that they have won quite often the past few years.
  16. This weekend I went and watched my brother wrestle at Floyd Central. While there all I heard about was how good Bailey Lahue is and about his middle school state title. So basically is he a legit title contender for next year at 112 or a product of not much competition locally?
  17. Schnell Jasper went 1-4 yesterday while being the only ranked heavy at mater dei. Would think that Dewitt Jeff could get a look for that spot.
  18. Dewitt gets 6th at nationals but cant win the varisty job. Deep room at Jeff.
  19. Might be a little early but oh well I can't contain my excitement over the season beginning. Team wise JEFF will once again reign supreme. 1.Jeffersonville 2. Floyd Central 3. New Albany 4. Charlestown 5.Providence 6.Corydon 7.Christian Academy 8.Eastern 9.New Washington 10.Salem If anyone knows of weights for returning guys feel free to post in here but for now its up in the air too much to even try to guess for me.
