  2. We have one varsity spot to fill at 189lbs (had a backout). I am waiting until the end of the day and then I am filling it with an out of state wrestler. I would rather not do that. I want an Indiana kid! We have two spots open for alternates right now. These alternate spots are a great opportunity for a kid that might not be that "state placer" caliber but is really wanting to jump to the next level. I do not care what weight they are. The alternates wrestle the same kids, get the same awards, but, do not have the same pressure because they are non scorers for the team. Traditionally my alternates have gotten more matches than the varsity wrestlers. We are giving the alternates a price break on the trip. I do need them to be good enough to protect themselves though. The District All-Star Division is a meat grinder! Call or email me for more information if interested. My contact information is listed below. 103 KAYLA MIRACLE CULVER ACADEMY 112 LUKE SHROEDER SOUTHWESTERN 119 ROBBY TAYLOR MADISON 125 TREVOR MOODY EVANSVILLE REITZ 130 ELDIN HESSELGRAVE CLOVERDALE 135 TYLER HUPP INDIAN CREEK 140 JORDAN JOHNSON LAWRENCE NORTH 145 ZACH ADAMS MADISON 152 JACOB FERGUSON MARTINSVILLE 160 CHANTZ LUGINBILL SOUTH ADAMS CENTRAL 171 DAMON ALBERTSON RONCALLI 189 215 AARON SEE NORTHVIEW 285 KADEN SUTER MARTINSVILLE ALT ALT COACH LEE MIRACLE HOOSIER ELITE ASST COACH SHAWN MIRACLE BLAIR ACADEMY/WEST POINT ASST COACH JOHN COWELL OHIO TEAM MOM SUE COWELL OHIO STAFF TROY ADAMS Contact info: Lee Miracle wk desk: 812.854-8898 wk cell: 812. 296.1652 pers cell: 812.929.2784 wk email: roger.miracle@navy.mil pers email: lmiracle20@msn.com
  3. I am not sure of the other Indiana girls. I was only notified of Kayla for obvious reasons. I do not think they have released the list publicly. They notified me this morning wanting her picture for the poster. It would be awesome if a couple of the other Indiana girls were on there with her. We (Indiana) have some talent when it comes to woman's wrestling. I really think that if we could get the participation we could have a powerhouse of a team.
  4. The ASICS Girls High School All-American First Team has been selected and we were just notified that Kayla has been named first team. The infamous Asics poster is supposed to come out before Fargo. Congratulations Kayla! Your hard work and sacrafice is continuing to pay off. Kayla just recently won the spot for Cadet World Team and has a bsuy schedule ahead of her. She will be competing in the Disney Duals District All-Star division with Hoosier Elite next week, in Ontario Canada for the Canada Cup with the World Team beginning of July, in Fargo for Team Indiana mid July, and then in Hungary with the World Team at Worlds mid August. She also has several camps associated with these events. Kayla wrestles for Culver Academy during the school year and Hoosier Elite Wrestling Academy in Bloomington during the off season.

  6. Here is the current roster for Hoosier Elite's Disney Duals team. We are missing three weight classes and an alternate. We have had a couple of kids not be able to go that had rogered up earlier and we need to replace them. We have some kids interested for 160, 171, and 189 but, none that have committed as of yet. the first wrestlers who pay will get the spot. Hoosier elite is the only Indiana team that competes in the district All-Star Division. It is very tough to say the least. We cannot take just anyone. We have to be sure that the wrestler can at least protect themselves. This level of competition is incredible and unparalleled. If you think you are up to the challenge and would like more information please call 812-929-2784 or email me at lmiracle20@msn.com We do not have any out of state kids on the roster as of yet but, I am allowed two from our district (bordering states). You get a 5 lb. weight allowance and only weigh in once the day before the competition starts. A spot includes a free three day 9 session training camp with Olympian Rob Eider, Hoosier Elite sublimated singlet,, shorts, shirt, two meals a day during camp, one meal a day at the duals, lodging, transportation, and entry fee. This trip is an incredible opportunity. If I do not fill these spots in the next 24 hours I will be posting on out of state websites to fill them. I want Indiana wrestlers if at all possible. 103 KAYLA MIRACLE CULVER ACADEMY 112 LUKE SHROEDER SOUTHWESTERN 119 ROBBY TAYLOR MADISON 125 TREVOR MOODY EVANSVILLE REITZ 130 ELDIN HESSELGRAVE CLOVERDALE 135 TYLER HUPP INDIAN CREEK 140 JORDAN JOHNSON LAWRENCE NORTH 145 ZACH ADAMS MADISON 152 JACOB FERGUSON MARTINSVILLE 160 171 189 215 AARON SEE NORTHVIEW 285 KADEN SUTER MARTINSVILLE ALT DEVIN BROUKAL OWEN VALLEY ALT COACH LEE MIRACLE HOOSIER ELITE ASST COACH SHAWN MIRACLE BLAIR ACADEMY/WEST POINT
  7. Kayla Miracle (Culver Academy) wins 2011 Body Bar Nationals and becomes USA Cadet World Team member which wrestles in Hungary in late August. Kayla had six pins out of six matches. Five of the falls occurred in the first period and one of them at the beginning of second period. Kayla will also represent Culver, the great state of Indiana, and the United States of American at the Canada Cup in first week of July. She would like to thank everyone that has helped her achieve this great accomplishment and opportunity.

  9. Kayla Miracle just won back to back championships at USA Girls Folkstyle Nationals today. Cadet 108 (first period pin) and then Junior 105 (4-0). First female in history to do so. Her younger sister Hope won the Division 1 championship with a fall in the finals as well. We are blessed!

  11. All, Hoosier Elite is hosting an open practice tomorrow (Saturday) from 1-4pm. The practice will focus on live wrestling for at least 2 of the three hours. This a great way to prepare for state next week. There are state champions around every weight class and multiple National All Americans in the room to bang heads with. You must have a USA card to participate in the practice. There is a small fee for this practice of $5 for academy members and $10 for non academy members. Yours in wrestling, Coach Miracle (812)924-2784

  15. Norm....great assessment! Very informative. By the numbers and to the point. No riding the fence on this one. I really hope you are right but, as you point out very well, it all comes down to that draw!
  16. I have looked at this scenario very closely. Everything will depend on three main things. 1. How do the wrestlers actually finish out of their Regionals? The seeding for Semi-State is so important. 2. The Semi-State draw (which region brackets with which Region at Semi-State) 3. Who wrestles the best under pressure not only in the first round of Semi-State but, the dreaded ticket round as well. There are so many smaller variables to this as well. It will be very interesting to see how it all works out. Lots of tough kids! Unfortunately there will be a few that don't make the trip to state that probably deserve to because of the power of the Semi-State. On the other hand there will be four or five wrestlers from the other three Semi-States that qualify for state who are probably not as good as the wrestlers that don't make it out of Merillville. Wrestlebacks would not completely solve this problem but, it would help. At least you would know that you are getting the best four from each Semi-State. It is the system that we have though so we will just have to deal with it.
  17. Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. Kayla really appreciates the support. We feel very blessed and take nothing for granted. The Regional will be tough. She will have to wrestle well to win it. With Penn and Mishiwaka there you know that there will be some well coached battle hardened wrestlers to get through. One thing is for sure though....it will be fun to watch
  18. Hoosier Elite Wrestling Academy is opening its doors and inviting any 8th grader and below with a USA Wrestling card to attend practice. We are gearing up for Tulsa Nationals and would like to have as many different styles in the room as possible. The below practices are open free of charge to those that want to work. We will focus on intense drilling and live wrestling during these practices. These practices are not geared for beginners. They will be very physically demanding. You will get much more live wrestling out of one of these practices than by going to a local tournament. Bring your own water bottle.....sometimes there is a water break. We are located at the Teamwork facility (7000 sqft astro turfed speed and agility training center) 2013 S. Yost Ave Bloomington IN 47403. See you there. Saturday Jan 15 9:30-1130am Monday Jan 17 6:30-8:30pm Wednesday Jan 19 6:30-8:30pm We are leaving after practice on Wednesday for Tulsa. If you would like to carpool with us plan accordingly. Coach Miracle
  19. Kayla is very thankful for all of the kind words. She is working very hard to do her best. Anyone who knows her knows that there will never be a lack of effort from her. She is just taking everything in stride and trying to remain focused on her training. Sometimes all of the attention can be distracting if it is not put into perspective but, at the same time reinforces all that she does and encourages her to try even harder. She seems to handle it very well.
  20. Kayla Miracle of Culver Academies is 17-0 and ranked 11th @ 103
  21. Nice article Miracle now 17-0 http://www.thepilotnews.com/content/kayla-miracle-gets-undefeated-start-cma-wrestling
  22. Hoosier Elite needs to fill a couple of last minute spots. We need a 160, 171 and 215. Our 160 just backed out do to some kind of family scheduling issues. We would also like to take at least one alternate. I would like the alternate to be 125-130 and/or 152-160 so we can move things around if there are any injuries. If you are interested and need more info please call me ASAP (812)929-2784. Our mini camp starts Tuesday night and we leave late Wednesday night. Weigh ins for the District All Star teams are on Friday. Coach Miracle
  23. Congrats to all of the Triple Crown Winners. A special congrats go out from the Hoosier Elite family to Alex Mosconi, Zach Adams, and Kaden Suter all training at Hoosier Elite Wrestling Academy in Bloomington Indiana. I get to watch these guys get better and better by putting in the extra time and effort. Nice job guys! The hard work is paying off for you. All of the recognition that you receive is well deserved! Just think about last year at this time and compare that to now. There is a huge difference in each of you because of your decision to pay the price to be a state champion!
  24. Nice job Stevan! You are a beast. Congratulations! We need to get you and Kayla together to do some training. She loves to compete against you. Not only are you a top notch wrestler but you are a top notch kid!
  25. I had the opportunity to take Shawn up to Blair Academy http://www.blairwrestling.com/ last week for a visit while I was on some business to Manhattan, New York. It was incredible! The campus atmosphere was nothing like I have ever experienced anywhere. I loved it! More importantly Shawn loved it. The educational facilities were second to none. The student to teacher ratio is something like 8 to 1. The classes and classrooms are small. There is no way a kid should walk out of a classroom not understanding something. There is a huge emphasis on academics at Blair and you got that feeling that some of the smartest high school students in the country were walking around. We met one kid who was going on to college to study Nano Scale Engineering. I don't even know exactly what that is lol but it sounded complicated The wrestling facilities to include the wrestling room and the weight room were very inspiring. The physical structures themselves were very impressive but what was even more impressive was the people in the room. Shawn had a chance to work out with his new team and it was an awesome experience. His wrestling partners were some of highest ranked kids in the nation. His coaches were second to none. Coach Buxton and his assistants do a tremendous job running a practice filled with star studded talent. After a practice where Shawn saw more adversity than he has all year Coach Buxton asked me "Well, what do you think?" I said "He will get better." LOL. Shawn will wrestle a post graduate schedule that will give him around 50 college level matches. For Shawn this is a great fit. He was a late bloomer physically jumping from 112lbs his Junior Year to 130lbs his Senior year. The military academies do not have red shirt years. Shawn will be able to mature physically, mature mentally, and learn to live on his own in a structured environment not unlike the one he will be living in the following year at West Point. Overall, we feel that Blair Academy gives Shawn what he needs to succeed not only as an athlete but as a student at the college level. We are very thankful to everyone that has helped Shawn get to this point. We feel very blessed and believe that God has guided us through his high school career and all of the tough decisions we had to make including where to continue Shawn's education. If anyone is interested in pursuing an education at Blair Academy or one of the military academies please feel free to contact me with questions. I was mentored through this sometimes overwhelmingly complicated process so the least I can do is pay it forward and assist anyone I can.
