  1. Thanks for the PU analysis.  Purdue only looked bad this year because of the injuries. And as you know , the have nots in the league don’t have the depth of the haves. And aren’t able to plug in a backup all American at a whim. But they showed that they are developing wrestlers to compete on the big stage. No doubt boilers are mid to upper in the conference. Now the other team in the state needs to take it up another notch or two.

  2. After a lackluster Dual season, the Boilers answer the bell with two AA’s this year. The Hoosiers came within a whisker of getting on the podium, but had a good dual season. All good, as I see it, but two different ways to a successful season. And good for the state of Indiana with two Big Ten programs. Only thing better would be if these two schools were able to retain Indiana’s elite. Think about what the results could have been on the big stage this year.

Now use your logic for the people trying to use Shenandoah and Mater Dei as reasons why the single class system works. It doesn’t take a genius to see that larger schools dominate in terms of SQ’s, placers, and champs. If you want to grow the sport in Indiana, classing the state series is your best option. Smaller schools will have more success and their programs will grow.

I can think the sport is big enough in Indiana. Very popular. Why the need “to grow “?

So Indiana ended up with 3 AA's this year - Parris Champ, L. Davison 5th & Mendez 6th. Is this correct or am I missing someone?

Also, B1G only got 3 Champs. When was the last time the B1G conference had that few champs?

Nice fact. Hopefully this continues. Great for college wrestling. Spread the wealth, so that the sport doesn’t dry up around the country.

  5. Ramos seems to have the easier path for PU. But man, he was hurt last week. So not sure if he gets there. Washington has a tough first matchup in wolf of Air Force. If he gets by wolf. He has a rematch with Edmond Ruth. I think he can win both. Coleman has a tough second round with undefeated Humphreys of Lehigh.
Filius will have a tough second round also if he gets there with Jack of NCST.
So I’m still not sold on any of them landing anAA. But Ramos ,if not hurt ,would be the pick if any. Washington I think has the second easiest path if he performs.

Several ski resorts within an hour from here, one right down the road. Haven't had much of a winter this year but as I type this, it is snowing like crazy now.

I spent a lot of time at snowshoe in the 80’s and 90’s. Met a lot of Washington DC people on the slopes.

Shoot I have lived here for five years now and do not know the capital of MD. Guessing either Annapolis or Baltimore. I live in the mountains of rural western MD basically in West Virginia. Charleston is the capital of WV, don't care too much for Maryland at all.

I thought Snowshoe was W. Virginia capital?
