Again thanks, if it were just about the numbers I would have never made this post. I am sure that by Monday I will have a huge number of Boos. I can live with that as many will Boo "just because". I just wanted to call a coward a coward!

Perfect...I have this match on my DVR from last year! I should have thought of this. Darren put Metcalf on the defense for the entire match. It is the game plan we have for tomorrow. If a wrestler is on defense, he cannot run his offense! Thanks

Since comming to this board two years ago I have taken sides in a couple of "heated debates" (Class wrestling as an example). I stated my position and made arguments as to why I was on one side or the other. In the course of doing so I took some "Boos" from those who did not agree. Such is life. I have also made some post that got a few "Wahoos". What I have a problem with is the chicken S#*! members who to this day feel the need to "Boo" members that disagreed with them a year ago, and do it without the manhood to say it openly. I do not consider myself one of the "controversial" board members. Nor do I have a problem with being "Booed" for taking a side in a discussion. For those of you that take every opportunity to "Boo" a member for past disagreements, grow a set! Rod

My son (a 2 seed) has a horrible 2nd round match (assuming he gets there). In my opinion he has the state champion at his weight class. I need an example of where a wrestler, considered a lock for the state finals, was upset before he got there. If this happened in the last five years that would be best. Would be someon he knows. I do not intend to name the wrestler as it really has no berring on the situation. Would just like an example of a true stud getting upset. Not the standard 4 beats 1 that happens every year. I must say my son has the right state of mind to pull a huge upset, I just want to give him some additional fuel. Thanks.

I am not from Perry but if Logan was JV it was his Sophmore year. He was Varsity last year, my son wresteld him at the North Montgomery Holiday classic.

I can't speak for all of the weight classes, but your 189 class is dead on. All of the 8 wresetlers on the list are seeded either 1 or 2. Nice job!

People see Kayla and think "wow this girl can wrestle". I have known her and her family for years and think it important to inform that she is also a fine young lady. She is mature beyond her years, polite (as all of the Miracle children are) and extremly intellegent. Many of you see her wrestle and are impressed. I see her all the time off the mat and am continually impressed! BTW In addition to Sean and Kayla there are two more Miracle children who wrestle that will also shock the world! Hope is 7 and Kale is 5 (I believe). Both National Champs!

You should consider Clayton Fiddler Bloomington South (Soph) for a place at 160. He is a Tripple Crown (2010) winner and all of his losses this season came to top 16 opponents. Noticed you were only 7 deep there. BTW at 189 you have two wresters at the 7 spot.

Though I, like you, want to see the elite wrestlers go at it, we forget that wrestling a Dual is a team sport. The coaches do what they do in order to get points for the team. Sometimes it is an obvious "duck", a way not to get a loss. But usually it is in an attempt to win or at least get the score closer. My son hates to take a forfeit. I truely believe he would rather take a loss in a close match than work hard, make weight, get mentally ready...just to have his hand raised. It happened this season. We had a dual, the other team weighed in and had a wrestler in his weight class. They did not have a wrestler 2 classes above his class. Our wrestler at that class was a JV filling in for a hurt varsity. My son reported to the table and mat ready for action. The other coach signaled FF and it was over. To make a long story short, my son had to run the next day for the words he used that our coach overheard comming off the mat. Result, the other team won the match that they would have taken the FF at. Points however were the same as it would have been since the wrestler they moved up got pinned. But it was a calculated risk. I guess what I am saying is I do not like it either, but I do understand it in most cases.

Good point! I went directly from the Rankings. The teams can mix it up and match-ups could occur that are not forecast.

Schoolcraft is a senior this year, but is not wrestling. I do not know why.

As of todays team rankings: #3 Perry #4 Mishawaka #7 Penn #8 Bellmont #10 Bloomington South I am guessing that Castle is somewhere just outside the reported rankings. Wow this should be a hell of a day! I went through the individual ranking and there are 30 ranked individual wrestlers.

He did'nt weigh 475 lbs when we wrestled the russian. Heck walking a flight of tall steps would be a harsh workout with the present Rulon. I did not take it that the workout itself was harder, just that it was his hardest workout (body condition) ever.

IHOP has a new all you can eat pancake special $5.99. Wish we had one in Bloomington!
