    You know you may just have something there Boiler Some state identifying needs and issue many years ago and then using that info to actaully improve the infastructure and training oppertunities for all youth wrestlers. This improvment then leads to those states advancing past other states that have taken much longer to identify and take those same type of steps. Sounds logical to me.

    Sounds like some 4th place guys are making it past round 1. It will be interesting if some of them can keep the fire burning enough to make it past one more tough match and make it to state. If a good number can make it out their may be something to this 4th place advancing from regionals after all.

    Yeah I see that one, but several others exist as you pointed out. I was meaning 1 thead for each of the 4 semi-states. That would have keep thinks a little more organized and in order than the mess we currently are starting to have. I guess some of you like the chaos of multiple topics and mixed up results though, being that I've been booed at last twice for suggestion a little more order to this madness. Guess it's to late to fix for this year, I'll throw it in the suggestion box for next season.

    I think we found a glitch in the perfect indianamat.com system. I guess in the future they need to find a admin that is not a coach to organzie these type of meet day messes! I'm sure indianamat.com Version 2.0 will be out next season this time with a 1600lb gorilla!

    In almost every case when a big school or even a medium school wrestler doesn't reach his goal he is told if he want it he need to work harder to achieve it. That is what is accepted as the best way to get to where you what to be by both the coach and the wrestler. However, apparently if you tell a small school wrestlers to work harder though that is an insult to the coach and wrestlers. So you are able to say that to one group of wrestlers it be ok but another one and its an insult? Which is it? If we have an individual class tournament in the future and someone doesn't reach their goal then which group of kids can we tell to work harder and which ones are we insulting by saying that?

    It's a crazy rat maze looking at the multitude of semi-state topics for all 4 events. Could someone please just combine the topics so each semi-state has one thread to follow each instead of 5. That may help most of the at home viewers follow along a little easier.

    Hey Admins, Any way to consolodate all these update onto one topic for each semi-state. Its a rat maze to find all the information for each semi-state.

    For sure, Quincy still has some rough edges to polish off in the next few years of high school. However, he is still a very talented wrestler with lots of experience. Reguardless of who he has wrestled this year the time he puts in training with people like his brother and Wodjyla is bound to improve his skills. One thing if for certain, Barlow will have to bring the same A game he brought at conference if he want to win the match.

    I'd say push the team regional for that area back a week , just go with the team that is currently in the lead at the representative from that district, or don't send anyone and have team regionals tomorrow as is. What else can you do? They still need to finish that sectional by Saturday somehow.

    Bloomington South could always drop regionals and take the sectionals if they want to get it out of Northview that bad. Then another school that is capable of also running it well could take on the regional duties. That sounds like a workable solution. I would guess Columbus North, Columubus East, or Seymour from the other sectional are all located central enough and have enough room to run a regional if Bloomington South got ride of it and took the sectional duties.

    I forsee some great match ups in this regional in the semi-final rounds. I can't wait to see the action on Saturday.

    Every round is going to be a test from the first to the last. Hope no one is looking ahead until after they finish the match or it may be a short day for them. We have all seen many upsets in the first round because of wishful thinking.

    Richey does practice against his brother and Wojdyla. So it's not like he's not seeing some very skilled competition in between the occasional hard match. Plain and simple it should be a good match for the fans to watch.

    The question is not which is better The Region, Indianapolis, or Evansville areas. Remove those abnormal spikes in talent as a variable in the equasion all together. Whats left may actuallly help you focus in on what "overall" area is best instead of just a small region. Now if you leave your bias behind someone could actually think clearly when they vote.

    Are you going to put out some type of power rankings after sectionals are complete? Maybe not a true ranking but a group of kids who are most likely to advance based off of their draws through each round of the tournament series.

    Great story. I give much love to Hunter for not only wanting to wrestle someone, but refusing anyone else except the top competition. Most wrestlers can learn a lot from that type of mentality. Tony show some humility and respect, by not only agreeing to go out there but also letting Hunter wrestle it out.

    Everyone wants to be under the radar and be the suprise winner, but in this day and age of information not to many kids able to pull that one off.

    Jeff the best tournament team will win this one, but it still up in the air if they are a the best dual team out of this sectional. I guess the new team regional set up may cause a few decent dual teams to fall earlier than they should.

    Hope we can get one more rankings before sectional and some type of power rankings before semi-state.

    Powless is a machine when it comes to his work ethic. I'm glad he's showing he can work at the next level.

    It's ridiculious if a high school athlete can't maintain at least a C- grade point average or better. Even most with learning issue have plenty of oppertunity to get the help they need to stay in that grade range.

    Several great and affordable camps to choose from around the state and our neighbors if you are willing to pay to stay there.
