Overall, I think it's a phoney token gesture that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm not impressed at all when a kid does it, precisely because I know he is told he has to. I would be more impressed if a kid sought out a coach after the match, away from the spotlight, looked him in the eye, said nice match and shook his hand.

great team and great coaches but could show a little respect and go shake the other coaches hands after the match none of the kids did That's ridiculous. Leave it to you to try to put a downer on their accomplishment. It's not like they don't do it purposely to disrepect the other coaches. CP has never done that, because back in the day no one did. I think it's more about tradition than anything. Also, you don't show respect and sportsmanship by running over and slapping someone else's hand because you have to. It's so phony if you ask me. CP's kids show respect and sportsmanship by the way they act on the mat, not by running over and slapping someone else's hand because their coach told them to.

If that is true then that is so bogus! There were some matches I really wanted to watch, and unfortunately couldn't make it there t watch in person. This day and age, it's not that hard to stream video. Like someone else said, if the IHSAA would rather film swimming sectionals, then they should allow someone else to do the video. The IHSAA sucks! We would do just fine without them. They should pass that bill to get rid of them. Now that I've finished my rant, does anyone know for sure if the finals will be on tonight?

There should be a link on the homepage to the right about individual wrestling state finals, and then when you click on that you should have the option to watch whatever mats you want.

I was able to get some video for a minute or two of an empty mat, but as always with broadcastsport.net I was unable to watch it because of the buffering. Maybe it's just my computer or the internet connection, but I can never watch their broadcasts because of way too much buffering. But if you're able to watch there should be something going on now.

Thanks, I think that was the same score of when they wrestled at Semi-State two years ago.

I agree with the legislation. There needs to be accountability. The good ole boy club at the IHSAA needs to be broken up.

What about watching the ihsaa broadcast with the volume down and listening to the broadcastsport audio at the same time? If there's not a lag that might be a good idea.

On another post earlier in the week, someone said that the finals we be webcast on ihsaasports.org, so that is where I am planning in watching them. I think that's what I did last year and it worked pretty good. If anyone knows if that is wrong please let me know because I will be disappointed if I don't get to watch the finals.

Roach will win because he is very technically sound. Dillon didn't even threaten to take him down. I have to admit that I've never seen March or the other guys. I just think that if Dillon couldn't take down Roach I don't see how they will. You never know what can happen at state, though. The best thing about it is the wrestlers get to settle it themselves on the mat.
