I like your 2 cents blue bolt!
I had a very good 171 in 98 and we come out of the sectional as runner-up to Hardy, and then draw into a Regional with Jared Williams and the MD kid (name escapes me). Those 3 end up 1, 2, and 4th I believe!

Man you hit the nail on the head there Tom!
My mom said that while she was pregnant with Chuckles the town of Hazleton's water source was the White River.........hmmmmm!
JB
Couldn't help it...lol!!!
I thought the Mole ..was wise and knew all? Then how come you don't know the results of Bo Henry? Did nobody write the results down? LOLOLOLOL

Maybe this has been covered somewhere and I missed it, but Columbus East had a tough kid at 160 or 171 (Bierely sp.??). Is he injured? I noticed he didn't wrestle. Very impressive young man.
Before our season starts, I supply a lengthy list to our AD who in-turn submits it to our Board of Trustees for approval. Probably half of the list never even make it in, but they have been approved. I know it sounds, and is, ridiculous in a way, but it is just one of the hoops in which we have to jump for the IHSAA.

Good points Arbitro. Couldn't think of a better word than "style." In that situation our kid was a legger, and he relied on wearing you down from the top. Frankie was quick, in my mind to stalemate you in that situation, not in our best interest to keep going through restarts, so we scratched him. Results: the South Dearborn kid was better with his legs. He got the takedown early and rode us out. He takes down we ride him out. Third period down 2-0, we take down get rode out for another 2 minutes. Maybe I shouldn't have scratched him????
As someone posted earlier this post, I scratched Frankie at Semi-State one year and he actually sought me out and asked me why I scratched him. He had been at the Castle Regional that year and I thought his style didn't mesh with our kid and his "to go" round match up. I felt uneasy with having to explain that, but I did and he seemed to understand.
My bro. always scratches himself (that doesn't sound good Chucky...lol) when he has our Semi-State from any of my kids' matches.
I don't care if I, personally, cannot stand a ref....if he is going to do a good job...I want him on our mat. That is how I always voted as well. JMO
Wouldn't that be a hoot! I couldn't go there because if I was an assistant ref. and there was a "questionable" call out of habit I would still go to the table to "discuss" it. Question: Does Bobby Cox have all the refs rehearse their pre-meet speech?
" Coaches if you have any kids with special equipment...Make sure your kids come to the table ready to wrestle... If you have a question make sure we discuss it at the table and not from the corner..." Who decides which ref gets to get up in the meeting and give the speech. Do you guys flip a coin???? I was kind of hoping Gillespie would do it at Evansville. LOL
You know I am just kidding you Chuckie. I'll see you Saturday in Indy!
Tom Heckman: I thought the tourney went very well. The only gripe I have is that bracelet situation??? One team had 4 wrestlers and 8 people (2 Dads, a middle school kid, 4 coaches, and 1 guy that nobody knows what his purpose is) serving as coaches vs Castle who had 12 entrants and 4 bracelets!!!! I didn't get that part, especially after the AD's "spirited" lecture in the coaches meeting.
I don't have a solution for that either so I am done whining about it!! LOL
He always sees well enough to watch the other matches going on. When the Pton 215 lber was hurt on mat 2, we were wrestling Kercher on mat 3. He spent more time watching what was happening on mat 2. Kercher and my kid were in a scramble on the out-of-bounds line, then out-of-bounds, then back-in-bounds...finally they went out stopped, got up and headed back center....the whistle had never blown!!! Some times you just have to laugh. I was still waiting for him to call a pin from his feet by stomping the mat ;D ala. the late Don Henry.
JB
For some odd reason I think I know that guy ;D
Eleanor: I've been talking about Stein (and Gris) since they were 6th graders!! They both wrestle way beyond their years.
Both my daughters (14 and 13) were talking about Drake's talent in other extra curricular activities that he participates in at PCHS.
Being a Princeton grad and Hazletonian: Why does the announcer at Castle refer to Princeton as Princeton High School vs Princeton Community HS...my feelings are hurt. LOL
