  1. Wow 4 of them. That is awesome!
  2. Sorry I did not have time to put up the video last night I will try and get them up tonight. 3 HSE kids got 5 point throws. Sam Weber Schoolboy 128 John Tatom Cadet 145 Jack Chastain Schoolboy 91 I have tape of Sam's and Jack's but not John's. His was awesome and his reaction was even better!
  3. I saw a few great 5 point throws this weekend but I heard about several more. If you have any can you post them? It may be a fun way to get people more excited abut Greco!! I will be posting 2 when I get home tonight. To me Greco is a lot of fun to watch.
  4. I have a screen printing and embroidery business that I may want to advertise on this sight. Do you have any info you could give me?
  5. For the the wrestlers who put down their club instead of their school. It would be nice to know where we can look for you in next couple of years. Where will you be attending High School?
  6. I agree that it was a great day. After the 1st round it went very fast. Not sure how they could speed up that first round. It took quite a while to get everyone weighed in. After that it went very fast. It may have seemed fast to me because Jack lost to Drew Hughes the fist round and wrestled out of the losers bracket the rest of the day. 6 matches later he ends up 5th. I could not be more proud of his toughness! Last match was an overtime win over Trent Pruitt. That one could have went either way. Trent was tough as nails.
  7. Will there be check scales that the boys can use in the morning?
  8. Will there be check scales that the boys can use in the morning?
  9. I a line bracket the normal kind we see at tournaments?
  10. 80 looks like it is going to be a dog fight. Several good kids in there. I am looking forward to some of those matches. The draw will be huge! Baker Ford Chastain Ellis johnson Pruitt Hughes Are all very solid. I am sure some of the guys from way up north and down south are solid as well. This should be fun to watch.
  11. You can think every parent who has complained that the school has made exceptions for other kids therefore their kid is also exempt from punishment. It is just a fact in our society today. So many people want to play the systems so the system has become progressively more rigid. Not the schools fault. They don't like it anymore than we do.
  12. Looks like you must sign up for middle school state by next Wed. I am trying to decide what weight to put my son. He is right in between 2 weight classes. What do they need to be wearing when they weigh in? 3 pounds seams like a lot but I guess that depends on what they have on.
  13. Anyone having trouble registering for freestyle state. I seems to be linking me to Junior State and says the birth date will not allow it. Any suggestions My son is a Novice.
  14. I think matside paring is much better but if they won't do that. This may help some and would be very easy.
  15. Last year it was very hard to hear the anounsements during the meet. Are there going to be any changes to make it easier this year. I went to 1 last year that they used a projector to put the weights they were calling up on a wall. May be 1 idea to help.
  16. My son is a second year novice in his second year of wrestling. He has already had a lot of success in open tournaments. So I will put him in state again this year. If you think he is ready for open tournaments than he is probably ready for state. Sometimes a good loss is great for there development.
  17. By far the touphest tournament we have gone to this year.
  18. Base You are 100% right on this one. My son is just staring his second year in wrestling. We always set goals before each tournament. Some examples from last year were. 1) Give 100% effort every match 2) Not to be intimidated by more advanced wrestlers 3) Make it threw and open tournament without getting pined 4) Win or lose with class 5) Win 50% of his matches for the season. Some for me were 1) Keep calm. ( it help having another dad beside me during matches to remind me) 2) Not to over coach during matches
