  1. Seeing the kids with the shiny records beat the kids from other regionals who don't think they belong. Don't get me wrong as I know the Logan regional is the weak sister coming into this semi state. But there are some good kids that come out of there every year.
  2. Sorry, not all of us can be as high class and intelligent as you big city folk.
  3. Broadcast sports is killing me. Two cameras with the same video about 90% of the time and the video is about 30 seconds behind on one. Oh well, I guess it is better than nothing since I can't be there today.
  4. Back in the days of the old Northwest Hoosier Conference (Rensselaer, River Forrest, Lake Station, KV, North Newton and Lowell) Lake Station was tough. Very physical group of kids. But right now, I also gotta go with Pioneer as one that sticks out.
  5. Reminds me of the time my younger brother tried to take a dump in a urinal but got caught by the assistant principal. Funny story.
  6. I don't think Knox is in the circulation area for the Times.
  7. I believe this is still true. Years ago one of my kids was in this meet along with Tabor from Portage who was a state champ at around 140. He had to easily weigh 160 the day of the meet.
  8. I agree that winning state as a freshman is impressive. But winning state as a freshman at 103 or 112 against other freshman, is not as impressive to me as a freshman placing 3rd at 189 or any other middle or upper weight class. My vote goes to Sliga
  9. May look in to this for next year. What is the cost for a suite? I am sure I could look it up, but I am a goverment employee and thus naturally lazy.
  10. Last couple years have been pretty close I believe. Just so others are more aware of the area this covers, it is basically Lake and Porter County and as far south as Rensselaer.
  11. Just wanted to back this point up a bit. Crossfit is great for cardio and also mixes in olympic lifts as well. Some days you will be doing high rep lifts one after another to really hit the cardio. Other days you do sets of heavy dead lifts or cleans. Most workouts can be finished in less than 20 minutes. http://www.crossfit.com/
  12. I think this clown showed up with that name a few weeks ago claiming that Duckworth cut to 171 to run from Atwood. Hence the name duck n run.
  13. Ok, maybe some of you armchair doctors need some schooling. Most of us have stubbed their toe, or hit their finger with a hammer in their lifetime I assume. Now, while it may hurt a bit for the rest of the day, the pain slowly starts to subside after the initial injury. I agree that it will hurt like a b*%ch initially, but after a few minutes, and some heavy cursing, you are able to function again. I would assume the same would be true with your shoulder dislocating/separating although it would be on a higher level of pain. My guess is he had several hours where the pain went down on its own, and may have even taken some advil or whatever duck and run (and you other clowns) takes for his menstral cramping.
  14. You may be on to something here. Don't forget to mention that they have to start kissing babies as well.
  15. Who will be the first to say that the doctor doing the surgery is now in on the big conspiracy to get Willis to the Championship match?
  16. Looks like you finally got something right!
  17. Yes, something like 5-0. McCray was never in any danger from what I remember.
  18. I think this was the best match of the night. Big upset as I also thought Duckworth was a lock.
  19. Was it the region, or the Merrillville Semi-state that was predicted to have that many champs?
  20. You are a complete nice fella bag. I hated to see the match end up the way it did, but whoever gave you this information is almost as dumb as you are. He stayed down on the mat well after the time was up, and when he did get up he sure didn't hop. I saw him later in the day and didn't even have his arm into his shirt sleeve. The kid was hurt, and I can't imagine how it feels to have the majority of a crowd of thousands boo you at every turn, expecially if I was only 15-16 years old. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and just leave the wrestling community. You have no clue what you are talking about.
