    I would prefer a kid to shake hands after a match but if they don't I don't have a problem with it. I have never seen a coach not shake or give a fist bump to a kid that went to shake their hand. If this does happen they are wrong and are taking it way to personal. Also if you are that worried about a "communicable diseases" then I think you are in the wrong business. As far as comparing wrestling to any other team sport it's difficult. Shaking hands after every inning would be more like shaking hands after every period or every time the whistle was blown.

    I personally like the idea of having a 5th place but I am curious as to how much time this will add to the semi state. Just by adding the 4th qualifier from regionals added more time. I think if we added full wrestle backs it would almost have to be a 2 day tournament.

    Only results I got was Merrillville won the team big with 7 champions

    Roads are slick in the region this morning. I drove thru Ridge Rd and Cline at about 5:00 am this morning. It was very icy hopefully by the start of the regional it will have been cleared up. Drive safe and good luck to everyone wrestling today.

    If you didn't know Robinson and already knew that he wrestled 220. You would not believe he weighs 220. To say he his a big 220 pounder is a huge understatement. For that reason I think Sliga still wins a close one. But that is a lot of weight to give up.

    Should make for an interesting DAC individual tournament. With portage beating Merrillville, cp beating portage and now Merrillville beating cp.

    According to the Times Merrillville 45 Clay 26

    Sounds like a good tournament according to the NWI times Penn JV beat Merrillville then Penn loses to Chesterton on criteria. Merrillville then beats Chesterton 51-12.

    Portage won. I think score was 39-24. I don't have specifics but I know Steveson did not wrestle.
