I think in most cases it does help. AJ you are right the better team usually wins. But when the teams are evenly matched momentum plays a larger part. I have always believed that winning is contagious (sp?). I was at the ncaa's a few years back when Iowa won like 12 matches in a row, I think that was definitely using the momentum of the previous wrestler. I know that this was an individual tournament but you can see that in thier dual meets as well.
I voted yes. I am pretty certain that merrillville won it the two years they were in it. I don't remember the team score but I don't think it was close. I think that if they would have continued to wrestle in the tournament they would have won it each year. If either of these teams wrestle they win hands down.
I would not hold my kids back at any point strictly for athletic reasons. I don't think that this sends a good message to the kids. I know for a fact that several past and current wrestlers have done this in 8th grade.
Does anyone know what happen to lil Kelly at 112? I had him as my dark horse. I heard he got caught in some kind of spladle and got hurt. There was also a question of whether it was a legal move. Did anyone see the match?
fan, I was thinking the same thing about the cashe Porras being a finals match. I don't think that I would wrestle him if he was not 100%. I would not risk further injury. Especially with cashes aggresive style
