Have to agree with olddawg,it was a weak year for team state this year.Not much competition out there.IMO Mishawaka's 08 team was much tougher than this years.

Not compared to basketball,boys and girls,high school and Notre Dame.The only reason they cover it at all is because of the large following the Mishawaka team of 2008 generated.Now that they've seen the standing room only crowds at the Mish.-Penn or Al Smith matches,they're giving it a little more attention.

Hey I live in Mishawaka. Home of the no. 1 team in the state, and theres NOTHING in todays South Bend Tribune!I don't think the sports editors realize how many people follow wrestling.If there had been a girls b-ball game at Hobart, there would be a story and pictures!

The South Bend Tribune had its usual fine coverage of the state finals, on page 6.They had 7 basketball pictures,1baseballand1football,2swimmingand even 1 fishing photo!Not one wrestling picture.Maybe all those wrestling fans that were at Conseco or followed the event on line should cancel their Tribune subscriptions.But then of course, how would we know how great Skylar Diggins is?
