  2. Garrett goldman tore his acl against manchester colleve and is out for the year....the back up 197 quit the team....they will forfeit the weight at big tens as well
  3. Also Amateur Wrestling News @ www.theopenmat.com will have a blog following the action. Not that it really matters though since all of you will be physically at the match....i kid i kid...kinda.
  4. Start off state finals week by coming out and watching the two big d1 programs from indiana go at it for bragging rights! West Lafayette @ Holloway gym - 6:30pm Monday night
  5. I hope Micic chooses Purdue....Fleeger would be a great coach and workout partner!
  6. Especially when they decide to go with the fist bump with that explosion thing afterwards...
  7. What are everyone's thoughts on shaking the opposing coaches hands after a match?
  8. Purdue Boilermaker!!! Come up to campus with a state championship!
  9. I have been more and more of a fan of Nelsen's as his career at purdue has progressed....he brings some intensity to the team and is a hammer on top! Hopefully Cashe will be able to finish out his career injury free...he has had one heck of star-crossed season thusfar it seems.
  10. One of the coaching staff had this to say.... Beat Michigan today. Counted up the state titles for each lineup. We only had 10 state titles out there. Michigan had 26!!!!!! Each team had 3 sophomores and 3 juniors. We had 2 freshman and they had 3. Pretty even grade wise but not state titles on paper. Our guys bust their butts and don't listen to people saying what they should and shouldn't be able to do. Feels good to see all the hard work and progress. —------------ Love what they have cooking in west lafayette! Big things are coming!
  11. I'm looking forward to seeing sliga's progression while working with jaybo next year!

  16. After playing two years of Junior College football at Lackawanna College, 2011 state champion Garth Lakitsky (Tamqua Area, Pa.) has chosen to compete in wrestling at the NCAA Division I level. Lakitsky, who was his school's first ever state champion, made noise at the Dapper Dan with a victory over four-time New Jersey state champion Andrew Campolattano in the 215 pound weight class. Having played two years of junior college football, Lakitsky will have three years left to complete three years of competition while at Purdue University. He projects as a 285 pound wrestler for the Boilermakers.

  18. Go where? Posting a link to a thread that is discussing the head coach at IU? Many of things mentioned in that thread are legit items that should be questioned about the coach at IU. I guess I don't understand what you mean by "take a stand here" and "man up".....I saw a post written on this thread discussing concerens with Goldman that was deleted....why would I think it would be any different if I were to "take a stand here" or "man up". Let me ask you a question Disco....are you happy with IU's performance? Do you think Goldman's performance merits his continued employment as head coach of a big ten school?
