Roach is sooooo smooth though. I think I would have to favor him in that matchup. Surma can do some DAMAGE from the top position though.

Only at 125, 135, and 171 where there is not a "favorite" from the area to win or be in the finals. Over/Under at 7.5 champions. Which way would you bet? I'm taking the over.

I don't think he was talking about this specific match... I believe he was referring to "officials" in general who may let stale action proceed too long.

this is not exclusive to the region.... wrestling gets slighted in favor of basketball all the time.

In the region, where we had multiple finalists and champions in what is arguably the most difficult tournament in the state during the regular season, we get nothing more than a box score for placers from 1st-4th. This is a travesty, a sham, and a mockery ...it's a travishamockery!

I am failing to see where HAWKINS is making any excuses. He lost a match and I am sure he is fine with it and will use it to motivate him. Everyone is talking about excuses but ins't the important thing how the wrestler reacts to the loss rather than what some random people are posting on a message board?

135 looks to be the "weakest" (if there is such a thing). I would say 152 would be the toughest.

Frankie Porras beat Brady from Lowell 4-2 i think.

Good shot at five champs here... Throw in James Travis at heavy and Nathan Cleveland at 215 and da region could have 1/2 of the state champs this year.

Where else can you get five hours of entertainment for $8.00? That's the great thing about Saturday wrestling meets.

Pop tart... I am not usually the spelling and grammar type but your signature line makes me laugh. In an intoxicated state one evening, after seeing that movie, one of my friends decided he wanted a tattoo of that phrase... and he got it exactly as you have written it in your signature. To this day he is the "butt" of jokes about it which is ironic because that is where the tatoo is located. ;D

If Portage beats Cathedral then don't they deserve to be in the top 4? If you are arguing that Cathedral is a better team than Franklin then I could buy that. But arguing that they should, because of their past performances, get an easier route to the finals seems flawed.
