Sorry about that, I miscounted! I am sure that you guys are like us, there were a few different things that could have changed the outcome for the day very easily.

Trojans are taking 11 out of 13 wrestlers to Regionals! By my count Twin Lakes and Lewis Cass are both taking ten. Twin Lakes had 6 champs, we had 3 and Lewis Cass had 2.

Just received this this morning. Sectional Wrestling Hosts, The weather forecast for this coming weekend is challenging t best. Given the potential for severe weather and the subsequent cancellations and postponements, please note the following contingency plans. Your diligence will allow us to conduct our tournament with a minimum of delay. 1. If necessary, delay the start time of your sectional meet to accommodate travel in inclement weather. If scheduling permits, you may delay the start of your matches until 1:00 P.M. which will allow you to complete your tournament by 9:00 PM. 2. If 50% of schools assigned to your sectional are able to compete, you must conduct your sectional on the scheduled date. 3. If more than 50% of the schools in your sectional are unable to compete due to the weather and or travel restrictions, you must conduct your sectional on the next allowable date and continue until the sectional is complete. If you need to cancel on Saturday, you must wrestle on Monday and possible Tuesday, if needed to complete the sectional. Robert E. Faulkens Robert E. Weight Loss Questions & IHSAA Answers

We were at a tournament a while back and one of the teams let a kid weigh-in who was way over, and I commented to another Coach that thee was no way I would have allowed that kid to weigh-in. Not knowing what his Alpha-weight was in my mind it was going to take at least three weeks to make weight again at the 1.5% a week. There wasn't three weeks left before Sectionals! -
At best Twin Lakes will get seeded tomorrow and worst case scenario is Thursday as we will hopefully be wrestling Midwest Conference on Wednesday night.

For our neck of the woods looks like it will be close -10 by the time the seeding meeting starts in Monticello tomorrow night!

Midwest Conference is postponed till Wednesday night. Going to be a long night, but rather do it that way than do it in two nights.

Had a referee earlier this year change a flagrant misconduct to unsportsmanlike conduct after a kid took a swing at one of our wrestlers. At the end of the meet he told me he did that so the kid could continue to wrestle the rest of the day and not lose the next meet either. By the rules that wasn't right, but I completely agreed with him. The wrestler was on a fairly new team and the Coach couldn't have apologized more so I had no problem with it. We all have seen times when the referees changed a call for the greater good.

Midwest Conference has a 12:00 PM start now instead of 10:00 AM.

Weight Loss Questions & IHSAA Answers

A few years ago we wrestled a team from Kentucky and their state's rules said that if they weighed less than weight loss plan that they could not wrestle at that lower weight. Am I saying we should go to that, no. Right now our rule only has any pertinence during the state series where they check to make sure you have enough qualifying weigh-ins, and aren't wrestling below your lowest weight class. Going to be a long night at seeding meetings if we have to go through everyone's weigh-in sheets and alpha reports. -
Brian by my take on the rules(7.4.2) he should have received a warning and lost a team point, and then if it happened again, then be ejected and lose two team points. Now if the expletive was directed towards the Official it would definitely be flagrant misconduct, but from what I heard that wasn't the case. Did they take away a team Point? Sad when opposing coach would do that "just to win".
