  1. Even though I am torn on whether girls should compete with the boys. I have watched Kayla wrestle and beat most boys she wrestles. I would have to say, untill there is an even playing field for the girls in this sport, let her continue kicking the butts she has for many years. Nothing but the best of luck to you in your quest of fulfilling your dreams...
  2. Strategy, a win is a win is a win.
  3. Shelbyville should be pretty tough. 4 teams in the top rankings here...
  4. Martin from Franklin Central will be champ at 120
  5. I believe they beat Mishawaka this past weekend 66-0
  6. Perry by far is the best team in the state...I personally would like to see them matched up against the best teams in the country. Not saying they are the best butI do believe they would hold their own.
  7. All situations are differant...If the kid is a trouble maker and does nothing in the practice room. If he keeps other kids from doing the same...Then lets the team down because he thinks it is better to not compete rather to get get beaten by someone he knows he has to wrestle...Yes get rid of him... On the other hand, was the kid sick? Was this the first time this has ever happened? I feel that kids make stupid decisions because they do not know any better. The kids are there and if they are doing what is asked of them ( nobody can pick the time they become sick) it is a coches responsibility to help shape these kids into responsible adults. With my kid the buck stops here but when he is in the wrestling room and if he would be acting a fool. I would expect the coach to jerk a knot in his#@@. This has never happened because the buck stops here. I applaud grandma for making the kid stick to his commitments. What was said here is he was sick, not that he wanted to quit. If he is sick, do you want him there infecting other wrestlers?
  8. onngrats to all the Champions from yesterday!!!Especially to Andrice Martin the 120# Campion...He wrestled his butt off..I think he and Kinney have split 50/50 over the last two years. Every time they go at it, it is a battle and an exciting match to watch. Great Championship match with Sparks as well...Great job Andrice,,,He pretty much told me there would not be any opportunities for a repeat of the match at CCC...Again great job to all the kids who put it out there and left it all on the matt. Congrats to Perry on another victory, it is hard not to root for you but it is almost instinctive in order to even things out...Truly an awsome team...
  9. He is not ranked other than Semi State...Like I said just trying to figure out where he stands against common opponents...LOL, I am still enjoying it though
  10. I agree to agree to disagree...Match was a very good one. I look forward to seeing them again. I do disagree about locking hands...Both arms went completely around Kinneys waist however they were side by side and not locked.Good luck to you all this weekend. BTW, no argument just spirited debate.
  11. You are making this into more than it is, I know Aiden is your nephew and you want to believe something so bad does not make it so. BTW, Martin was not gassed. He is a nationally ranked cross country runner. Aiden had been warned and the false start would have put him down by 2. Even another locking hands would not have given him the match. Good luck to he, Wes and you this weekend.
  12. One was kinney jumping the whistle and the call was not made. His right knee pulled up off the matt. Right after that, Martin was called for locking hands. If they would have called the false start Martin would have been given a point and the opportunity would not have been there for him to even lock hands and he would have been 2 ahead and it would never been tied up to go into OT. In saying that, I am not taking anything away from Aiden he is a very good wrestler. He followed a well constructed game plan. Good luck to him this weekend.
  13. I was there too and after watching the video I filmed for the team, Martin one the match and Kinney was given two calls that were wrong. Perry was next to me videoing the match as well. They saw the same thing.
  14. Yes he is but that is not my point in asking who has he wrestled. My kid is a good wrestler but not at the top level. I am curious if this kid is. We have beaten some tough kids and some not so tough kids. The only ranked kid he wrestled we lost 4-1. Kid from tech that wrestled up ranked 12 I believe. I think after being in the room and working on a few things he could get that one back. Very tough 6 pounder. I am just curious if we have had any match`s in common.
  15. There are a lot of kids out there with great records but that does not meen they got it wrestling the tougher wrestlers.
  16. But who has he wrestled to date not in the future...Trying to find out if there are any match`s in common with other wrestlers.
  17. At 120 Martin from FC will be right in there...He had a loss at the CCC that he should have won over Kinney. Blown calls by officials gave the match to Kinney. Not taking anything away from Kinney because he is a very good wrestler that stuck to the game plan. Even though he was given the win, he lost.
  18. Wanted to say congrats to all the wrestlers. You guys gave us all an enjoyable day. Keep up the hard work!!! There were some really exciting match`s to watch yesterday...
  19. I heard Schmidt has back problems and is not wrestling this year
  20. I believe Schmidt at 120 from BG graduated last year did`nt he?
  21. I am sure these kids are glad to be mentioned here but I think it is just a list of kids that we always have been watching for years. Most of these kids are the same kids who have been wrestling year round since they were little kids. A lot of them know each other and know they have a battle in store when the ref says wrestle. I think the names are correct but the placement at several weights could be adjusted...
  22. I like Jarred annd Brandon, I personally like Brandon in this match up. One thing is for sure, I think it will be a nail biter. BTW, I called it right last year from the beginning as well.
  23. Young yess and a stud as well. One thing you are leaving out is that he is by no way shape or form any less experienced than Fuqua or Brooks. I am not taking anythig away from them but I think Brandon will definnately be there in the final match. If memory serves me right. I remember all kindds of people saying Boston would get handled by Boomsma last year. All I have to say is that this weight class in the show this year will be very exciting to watch for sure...
