  1. Tuesday night live. Starting at 6 at the HS. come get a good hard workout in before folkstyle state this weekend. 6-7:30 Hard drill and lots of live. Again, we are back at the High School.
  2. Cody LeCount is in wrestlebacks for Central Michigan as well. Two time state champ Chico Adams AA in the NAIA nationals this weekend as well.
  3. I understand the area and travel delima but I don't think you could use folkstyle state results. How would you pick the best 75 lber when there are multiple age groups involved. You cant just pick the oldest age group because there could be a younger kid who is better?? Limited solution other than wrestle offs??
  4. As stated, schoolboys duals is picked by state placement for FS/Greco. As well as cadet, junior duals to a degree and Fargo team. Other than ms national duals which is picked off placement at MS state, the only team other team that is supported by the ISWA would be the elem team that was picked this past weekend by wrestle offs and anyone could have wrestled off. I believe I am correct on all of these.
  5. Congrats to my middle school head coach and staff for another outstanding season. Shaun led the team to an undefeated and IHSWCA middle school state champion season. In fact Coach Richardson and the middle school Falcon Wrestling program have only lost two duals in the last nine years. The cupboard is not bare thanks to the elem and MS staffs efforts. Great job Coach Richardson, Coach Steward, Coach Warren and the elem staff of Coach Elliott, Coach Oliver and Coach Haggerty.

  7. Awesome job by Nick Hull tonight. Great room with at least ten state medals represented.
  8. Congrats to several of my former state champs. Donte Winfield just AA by finishing fourth in the Juco Nationals for Harper. Chico Adams wrestles this weekend in the NAIA nationals for Lindsey Wilson. Chico won the Regionals. Also Cody LeCount is seeded 4th in the MAC this weekend for Central Michigan and Nick Bova just missed qualifying for the nationals for Wabash last weekend in the Regional losing in OT in the semi finals. As well Jake Masengale wrestled many varsity matches for IU and Kirk Johnson had a solid red shirt year for Purdue. Riley MCclurg red shirted for Old Dominion, Maggie Wilson red shirted for Campbellsville and Jacob Cottey wrestled some varsity for Wabash. Congrats to these Falcon wrestlers and good luck.
  9. Reminder that tonights RTC at Perry is at the Middle school directly across the street from the HS.

  18. There are some awesome teams and I don't know if the Perry teams on 11-12 and 12-13 compare but I would like to give a shout out to these guys. The 11-12 team had six Fargo All Americans on it. That's strong. Jacob Cottey Jared McKinley Cody LeCount Brandon James Kirk Johnson Donte Winfield Add to that that Jake Masengale beat a kid that took 5th at Fargo a month earlier at the duals but did not go to Fargo. Not a bad squad. I am not a stat guy but someone told me at the state in 11-12 or 12-13 we broke the individual state record for points. I would have to see that since Mater Dei in 03 was off the charts. I think we also had a margin of victory at team state but again I really don't study stats. I am sure I will be corrected here. Just proud of this group during a three year run where they went undefeated.
  19. At Perry Greenfield Central Roncalli Oldham County Ky. Ranked 5th in ky with ten ranked kids
  20. Proud of all the Perry kids competing at the collegiate level Wrestlers Jacob Cottey Wabash Nick Bova Wabash Jared McKinley Cleveland State Jake Masengsle Indiana Kirk Johnson Purdue Maggie Wilson Cumberland Riley Mcclurg Old Dominion Donte Winfield Harper Cody LeCount Central Michigan Chico Adams Lindsey Wilson We also had two sign last week Brandon James Old Dominion Cornelious Elliott St. Cloud Minnesota Playing football that all wrestled at Perry Nathan Warman Mason Deal and Devonte Ashe Kyle Steinback at Marion Congrats to all
  21. You should set up and do your show live from our wrestle mania inter squad meet. I'll buy your dinner. Pizzas on the house.
  22. Just checking stats on Max preps and its pretty cool for these young guys. Aaron Cravens in 12th in 6A state in tackles and only a sophomore. Brett Johnson is up there as well. Plays a mean 145 lb middle line backer. Tristen Tonte, another sophomore, is leading the 6A state in rushing yards for quarterbacks and third in 6A state in total yards for quarterbacks. Jordan Marion has nearly 600 yards rushing. Keep getting better guys, you can win that sectional if you continue to improve.
  23. I want to give some props to a group of young kids who are getting better every week. On any given Friday Perry M. Might have 5 or 6 sophomores starting. This is tough for any division let alone 6a but they have been getting better every week. And most of the young ens are wrestlers. Tristen Tonte, soph, QB. Steve Woolbright , hw soph, was Frosh county runner up last year plays D line, Aaron Cravens, soph, middle school state runner up two years ago, starts at safety. Rilee Miller, soph, multiple ISWA state placings starts at inside linebacker. Plus a few juniors. Little Brett Johnson, returning state qualifier from 2013, starts at middle linebacker. And Jordan Marion, middle school state placewinner from 2012, who might crack the wrestling line up this year is the starting running back and had 189 yards against Decatur and a kick off return against Franklin Central to win the game. Great job young guys. Keep getting better.
