  1. Sean, how does your high school state tournament resume compare to Leroy's?
  2. Well, the wrestler with the best finish, put together the best run, when it counted the most. Look at most of our sporting events! The number 1 seed in any tournament that doesn't finish the deal, is never the champion, never the team talked about. Same goes for wrestling man! For Peru, did Nic May have a better overall resume than Matt Birner?
  3. I put Alex in front of Angel because Alex did not have a loss in High School. I disregarded any post high school accomplishments here.
  4. I guess this list is just a list of the best individual accomplishments by a wrestler at your school, in the IHSAA tournament series. Hopefully, that make sense. It looks like Chico's 2 titles with the 8th place finish trumps Nate Moore's 2 titles.
  5. So who were the best placers, or nominations then for Corydon, Union County, and Jay County? I thought one of the Glogas fellas, and Ferguson were state title winners. Which one has the better resume?
  6. Those were some tough choices there. Myers over TJ Hays, and Gunsett is a tough one, and so is Pursley over Sprunger.
  7. Bash, based on the information there I would say that it's either Porras or Galka.......in my opinion. It's a tough choice because you have Cosgrove there with 4 placements, but I say the titles outweigh the other factors. Just my opinion though.
  8. It would have to be Mauer because he's their only 4 timer
  9. I've been thinking about this topic for awhile, and I thought that it would be interesting to compile a list of the best wrestler to ever wrestle at specific schools. I would like the results to be based on State Finals results. Then if you have more than one wrestler who has achieved the best place at your school, then use your own discretion to pick the best. Here is what I have so far: Adams Central: Troy Roe Anderson: Mickey Janes Anderson Highland: Camden Eppert Avon: Kevin Huddleston Batesville: Mike Dailey Beech Grove: Steven Bradley Bellmont: Tim Myers Benton Central: Bart Coors Bishop Dwenger: Anton Talamantes Bishop Luers: Pat Ayelle Blackford: Dave Abbott Bluffton: Ben Sprunger Bremen: Ron Coffel Calumet: Berry Handley Center Grove: Ron Gaskins Chesterton: Keith Davison Clinton Prairie: Ty Baker Churubusco: Pat McClain Crawford County: Andrew Douglas Delphi: Braden Atwood Delta: David Palmer East Noble: Taylor March Eastside: Derrick Miller Elkhart Memorial: Chris Miller Elmhurst: Oliver Richmond Evansville Central: James Brimm Evansville Mater Dei: Blake Mauer Fairfield: Rhys Canaday Fishers: Mitch Sliga Floyd Central:Cooper Samuels Fort Wayne Carroll: Brock Norton Fort Wayne Concordia: Eric Leabeau Fort Wayne Harding: Troy Bahler Fort Wayne North: Gralan Early Fort Wayne Snider: Greg Wagner Fort Wayne Wayne: Brian Tun Frankfort: Josh Birge Franklin Central: Jake O'Brien Franklin Community: Bryce Hasseman Franklin County: Todd Sacksteder Frankton: Courtney Duncan Garrett: Zac McCray Gibson Southern: D.J. 10. What high school will Miss Miracle be attending?
  11. Why would Shields get GSP off the bat? I'd like to see Shields against Koscheck or Fitch first. I doubt he would beat either of those fellas.
  12. I'm pretty sure that neither would dominate the other. You have to remember that they were both 3 time all- americans Fleeger 125 -3rd 125- 2nd 133 -2nd Dubuque 125 - 8th 125 - 1st 125 - 1st Both are very impressive resumes.
  13. Here is the article: http://www.thepaper24-7.com/main.asp?SectionID=24&SubSectionID=23&ArticleID=25187 It sounds like Crawfordsville is looking for a coach also.
  14. It was a topic of conversation over the weekend so I thought I would try to find an answer. Thanks!
  15. Jim West is playing football at Trine University.
  16. Quick question here, did Dubuque and Fleeger ever square off in their collegiate years?
  17. I would nominate Barry Humble. He has done a ton for the sport of wrestling and has an impressive resume to back it up.
  18. Dave, if a change was made would it apply to the 2010-2011 season, or would it be the following?
  19. AJ, Does Mr. Cloud want us to voice our opinions through this thread, or is there an email address that we should send our opinions to?
  20. I would hope that a decision in made by the end of the school year.
  21. I promise I'm not trying to hijack your thread A.J., but what are the realistic chances of the weight classes actually changing? Last year is the first year that I really noticed talk of it, but I could have just been oblivious to the conversation in previous years. I think that Roe of AC would benefit from a 110 class. He was a fairly light 112 "I think".
  22. Where can I find the state football classifications?
  23. Didn't someone mention on a previous thread, that private schools in the Illinois class system have a student population multiplier? I think that is a fair option.
