This trip is on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVE BASIS. A wrestler need only participate in the ISWA Folkstyle State Finals on March 19-20, 2011 at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. By participating in this event (and submitting the attached paperwork and trip fee), you are qualified to be on this trip. DATES & TRANSPORTATION Bus will depart Indianapolis at on Thursday, March 31st. (Time: TBA) The team will arrive back in Indianapolis late on Saturday, April 2nd. **JUST A REMINDER**: This event is a qualifier for the ISWA Middle School Duals Team traveling to the ?USA Wrestling National Middle School Duals? scheduled to be held March 25 ? 27 in Danville, Illinois. The top 2 Wrestlers in each weight class are guaranteed a spot on Team Indiana Gold or Blue. If the first place finisher declines, the 3rd place finisher will be invited and so on. Just heard again from Andrew - They decided not to do the surgery and there is still a chance for him to be back on the mat in March. They have him doing rehab and upper body lifts and cardio every day.

Just got a text from Andrew - "they misread the MRI originally. my hamstring is completely torn and I should be having surgery next week. Think I'll be out till July". This is bad news for Andrew but I know he will work hard to get himself back into shape and be on top again.

I would like to thank the 9 teams that participated in the 1st ISWA Elementary Duals Team State Finals. Thanks also should go out to the ISWA Board Members who were there to help run the event as well as the Franklin High School Wrestlers and Managers who worked tables and set up and broke down of the gym. I feel that event was a success however we have room to grow the event and make it even better. I would like to form a committee to help with the planning of the event for next year, and would like to have our 1st meeting March 11th (the night of weigh-ins for Pee Wee ? Alex Mosconi from Hoosier Elite wrestling club won the "Most Falls" award. He had 4 falls in a total of 3:01. I recived the award for him and would be happy to get it to him somehow (even though it looks great in my office). I would like to thank everyone for their input regarding the state elementary duals. I am still in the process of setting up the age, weights and what makes up a team. At this point I am leaning towards allowing 6th graders that were born 1998 or after. Weight Class wise there are couple options I have been looking at but in both cases there are between 18-20 weights. Team wise I am leaning towards two divisions an All Star Division on Saturday January 1st and a Community Club Division to be held on January 2nd. The reason for a January 1st and 2nd date is to avoid conflict with other High School and Middle School events. Please keep the discussions going. With the increased popularity of Elementary dual teams throughout the State I am looking to propose an elementary duals state tournament to the ISWA Board with an event happening as early as this year.
