This is the PERFECT response to the question...We were always coached to Wrestle. It didn't matter if you were on the mat with Dan Gable himself, you were to give it 110% and let the chips fall where they may...

To take away the accomplishments of LN in defeating MD is just petty. LN obviously came to wrestle, and frankly MD showed up to beat CP. Well they pulled that off somehow and I guess they assumed the Championship was Decided after Round One. As for MD getting stuck 4 times...Folks they are NOT the MD of old. Plain and simple. Tough, solid, and worthy program, but the attitude is just NOT the same. Having said that, I am proud of EVERY kid who took the mat this year! You are ALL Champions!

Lannert has really turned it on as of late! I was impressed with his performance at State. Now beating Tsirtsis..Well lets not get all crazy! ANYTHING can happen, but I would also rather seem Lannert bump to 145 to face Roach. Odds improve just little if he does, but even then it's a long shot. I see CP at 103, 119, 130, 135, 140, 145, 171, and 215 In all fairness, 130 is a swing match for me - could go either way. 152 and 160 also. I have a feeling the Flamme boys are going to be looking for a strong finish. Wienzapfel at 152 is a tough kid and has the abilty to catch some one. If MD keeps things together, they can win this after what I saw from CP this weekend. But it will take CP stumbling in the swing matches.

Let me be clear...What has Chad Welch done to bring ANY question upon his desire to show up and get on the mat? Bashing him would be rediculous to start with. AS for the path...Lets look at that... The bracket speaks for itself. The bottom half alone had Quiroz, Defeatred by Willis, Who was defeaed by Welch. He EARNED this bracket by wrestling through his Semi State BTW.

Sims has looked tough this weekend. Granted he has had a much easier road to the finals. The "Hip Problem" hasn't been an issue to this point. But then it seems to move to his head in some mathes. Chad...Just go out and WRESTLE! Don't worry about anything other than wrestling that ONE match we all know you have in you.

The number of placers by Semi-State as of Saturday Morning stands as Evansville 31 Fort Wayne 23 Merrillville 28 New Castle 30 Pretty darned good!

160 - Mat I LeFever vs Rickenbaugh This one may Shock The World. Rickenbaugh is 47 - 4. Care to guess who the 4 loses are too? Here's a hint, look at Mat IV of the 160 Bracket ;-) Rickenbaugh is the real deal! Tough, Atheltic, and PHYSICAL!

I had "Even Even Bracket Syndrome" as a kid. It's no laughing matter! Every weekend I could only wrestle 3 matches.
