  1. I was saying in another thread how good CP's upper weights are going to be next year , but the lower weights with Hawkins,Jendreas,Frazier,Cruz and Bahl will be just as good .
  2. CP's upper weights will be insane with Goin,Goodwin,Cruz and the Clark brothers .
  3. We need about 4 more of him in the upper weights , LOL
  4. I know they lose Mendez , but I think CP will be a better team next year , Scary .
  5. I don't have the scoop , apparently CoachDC does . I myself thinks Baumann wins it.
  6. I'm picking Jendreas as well . And Goodwin will place very high possibly winning it.
  7. I just don't think anyone in Indiana will match up with Carroll . And that includes 220 and 285 . I think he steamrolls to a title . I also think Whitenack is a threat to win 285 . He has a practice partner better than any other 285's practice partners .
  8. I noticed no mention of the other regionals with no champs . Most of it has to do with perhaps the best team in Indiana history in Crown Point . That and Mishawaka is rebuilding . As for Penn , they are are ranked 6th in 4A and finished the EC Semistate in 2nd . I guess that is falling far behind .
  9. I think the Critchfield/Grange match would be awesome . Morrill is a common opponent . Critchfield beat him 3-0 and Grange beat him 7-2 .
  10. And a serious threat to have 2 champs
  11. That explains why they don't show the 7th place match.
  12. He placed 7th or 8th . Bracket does not show who won the 7-8 match.
  13. I keep scratching my head as to why people assume he was a state champ .
  14. People are not picking him because at times this year , he has appeared to struggle with the weight jump . Kids are much physically stronger at 132 . He has been wrestling well as of late . I thought he might be injured because he FF the regional championship against Walker.
  15. This may be true in Tournament scoring, but usually always in top 20 in Dual team rankings and sometimes top 10. My main complaint about Penn is that I don't get to see the full varsity enough. It sounds like you could have deeper issues with them.
  16. Grange was a Texas state Qualifier , not state champ . Vargo ran into nationally ranked Seltzer in the quarters last year. No other wrestler @ 126 in the state would of made it to the semis if they ran into Seltzer in the quarters .
  17. I don't agree with all of this statement . If you are saying there is a giant gap between Penn and schools like CP,BB and MD , then yes you would be correct. But those 3 schools don't make up the rest. I would also point out that those 3 have most certainly brought in established talent(transfers)at some point . If you look at the East Chicago SS power rankings , Penn is #2 and Mishawaka is #3. That tells me there is no giant gap between this area and anywhere else.
  18. I don't know the answer , but taking losses every year in duals we should of won is getting old .
  19. It's very frustrating and the reason I quit going to the majority of Penn's matches . I got tired of only seeing the true varsity a couple times per year . At the Henry Wilk classic , Penn lost to Springboro , OH and a very close one to Westfield . They did not wrestle Steenbeke or Grange in either of these matches . They certainly would of beat Westfield and possibly Springboro as well had 2 of their best wrestlers wrestled . When fans travel and pay money to support their team , they want to see the entire Varsity . Seems like every year the only time that happens is the Mishawaka dual , The Al Smith or Tournament time .
