kief and fahy will be a great match this year, saying kief will lose is a pretty bold statement apparently you have not seen kief wrestle this season -
did fahy from trinity and kuhn wrestle what was outcome?

kief is out until dec 15th had to have ear lanced and stitched his ear was worst I have ever seen Saturday in Franklin.

Dustin Kief worked out with a personal trainer, friend of mine, all summer lifting hard trying to put weight on and he only put on 5 to 10 lbs its all about your body frame and metabolism some kids have to wrestle 103 or 112 as a junior or senior not by choice.

they are just ranking the high school kids preseason. you can't rank kids after state finals that is not rankings that is finals.college rankings are the same way. you have rankings through the season til finals then whoever peaks ,focus's and wins are the placers. There are kids that may not be ranked that will place at state, but that does not necessarily affect rankings through the season

I know the rankings are baed on last years results, I know a few will be at different weights, kief112 hall 119 raley 125 vanhorn 130 richey 152 or 160 -
philips 103, kief 112, hawkins 119, wright 125, tsirtsis 130, porra 135, roach 140, stahl 145, richey 152, mcmurray 160, atwood 171, stephenson 189, cleveland 215, travis 285 103 will have brooks,todd and ayersman fighting for the title also, beck and cambell will be challenging 112 if they are healthy at this weight, kieffer could be here with hawkins again this year, raley could challenge wright this year depending on what he did over the summer, tsirtsis will in at 130, porras should win at 135, roach at 140, 145 and 152 depending who goes where with stahl, lynde and richey, 160 mcmurray will win, 171 stein, atwood and duckworth, stevenson works hard his turn this year at 189,

it could be considered an upset to some I guess because he was not ranked but if you knew kief's background not really. He has won a few iswa championships, 2 usa nationals and several usa,aau,cliff keen,liberty all american placements in fact as an eighth grader he did not wrestle in middle school he trained and traveled and placed third in dominator national series points. Congratulations to kief for your accomplishments during state series.

just because he got outwrestled fri nite does not mean there was a problem, if you knew kiefs background it should not of surprised anyone he ended up in the finals. Just because he was not ranked the last half of the season due to a couple losses did not mean much. Two of his losses were to kids out of state that are both nationally ranked in highschool.

Dustin Kief @ 103 wrestled great all weekend being unranked and beating all ranked wrestlers one with one loss and another undefeated, not to mention both of these were picked by a few to win the title. Great job working your way to the finals Dustin!

so what the kid is 16 he is a true freshman in highschool this is not his second year as a freshman

looking like a beast does not win a state title, outpowering your opponent does not win a state title, being a huge 3lber does not win a state title, once state series starts everything changes they will wrestle kids they have not seen all year that may have better technique, more heart,more national wrestling experiences,more years of wrestling trained by different coaches, this is what wins a state title. kids like ayersman and kief will be at the finals wrestling these huge 3lbers. Not taking anything away from any of these wrestlers they are all tough kids but to say they are going to win state by being bigger and out powering everybody is not going to happen

apparently you wasn't there. Nobody got disqualified. The coach from Franklin had one of his wrestlers forfeit his match after getting an unintentional unsportsmanlike conduct, Holt wrestler and Franklin wrestler were both heated up after first period. Nobody got disqualified.

watched philips wrestle long time did not surprise us any he had kuhn on his back dont know why kuhn was ranked no1 compared to the other 103lbers
