Thank you for the insightful post. I look forward to many more throughout the season. ouch why are we all getting so touchy. The guy just made a point that kids aren't wrestling in the same weight classes. He might not know that right now they are based on last years standings, because we don't know where they are all going to be. Tabbcam, its alright man, those things will get worked out after the first week or two of the season. Once Y2 and RankingGuy see where the wrestlers actually are this year, they will be ranked in the proper weight classes.

Can someone post the cost to get in? Any good places to stay around the area? Does anyone have the lineups of both indiana and illinois to see who is wrestling who?

Ok here is the breakdown. Chico is good, real good. Chalfant is a beast and can wrestle. Chico only beat Fitzgerald 1-0 last year Chalfant beat the kid that beat Fitzgerald 3-1 Chico beat Chalfant by a score of 3-2 last year Chalfant beat White by a score of 7-2 this year Last year Chico had 2 Dec. by only 1 pt victories This year Chalfant had 2 Dec. by 5-1 and 7-2 I am not saying which is better or worse...I am not saying that Chalfant is worse or better or vice versa I would say that Chalfant is stronger than Chico this year. I would say that Chalfant is quicker at a shot than Chico this year. I take Chalfant in a 5-3 victory. Overall after 100 matches, I think Chico comes out on top...52 to 48.

i know last year chalfant beat a lot of good wrestlers and then lost to chico this year i think he has beat janney 3 times (ranked 10th), beat that poole kid, and is undefeated. Nelson and Cashe will both win...but we'll see if it is over your merriville boys

Not sure that sheets is #4 quality. He didn't sound good on saturday or look that great wednesday

I would say that Chalfant has a shot, Billy Baker and Aris Allen have a good chance. Cody Phillips at 103, Cashe at 125. Not sure that you really have LOCKS there man

I s Chalfant capable of walking through and winning a semistate title? Will anyone challenge him or is there anyone that can beat him? Bevans is good, but watching him against Faurote wednesday and seeing the results of saturday...I'm not sure he'll make it state, but I wish him the best. 119 looks like a very well challenged and tough weight class as well. Which weight class will be the toughest overall from 1st round to finals and cons.

I don't think Mosier will lose, but I want to pick Baker just to have a good upset. It is the only upset that I think is possible. Ok...prime what is wrong with me picking my own picks? Why does that make me not smart? All I am saying is I think baker over mosier is the only upset in the finals that could happen, I don't see many more. And talking about smart, how are you a browns fan?

What have I missed between KoKo and Goul? Sounds like a gruge going on. Y2 is as close as I have ever seen him on his rankings. They arent' going to be perfect, but hey give the man props. Where would you rank yourself if you were still wrestling Y2? And what weight?

Christ Man--not bad picks. I could see a few of these, but I will take Dely over Thatcher after watching the Bellmont Yorktown match. I would also say that Baker does not beat Mosier. Birdman--Come on now. Did you forget or do you know nothing about this region. There is a 103 pounder from New Castle that is also a great wrestler. Phillips will not walk through this regional.

Does Gonzo finish 3rd? If so, does he place at STATE now? Does Sheets finish 3rd? If so, does he place at STATE this year, after finishing 4th last year. Simmons finishing 4th? IS this possible...can he beat Ehr? Rosson finishing 3rd? Is that possible? Hormann finishing in the top 4? Not sure that will happen. WOW Harper finishes 4th...what are you thinking? These picks are a little far fetched. You must be a fan of the Delta Sectional. You seem to have at least 1 Delta person in every weight class.

Wow what a great day of wrestling. Looked real good. 112 turned out like I though...the best Weight Class there. Mosier...congrats...I was wrong on my picks here, but you did an outstanding job. Yorktown looked pretty tough and will be tough to beat at the TEAM regional. Great job today Tigers. Chalfant pins Janney in 1:14. WOW. All I know is that this kid (man) is a beast. I guess everyone on here talkin' about how janney was just as good if not better and that Janney would win...well it looks like CHALFANT came out and WALKED the WALKED. No talking needed. He looked like he had nothing else planned but to go out and pin Janney as soon as he could. Congrats to Chalfant and Fodrea. Fodrea looked real good against Jimmy King. Surprising win here. So, is the Armantrout boy at 119 going to be able to go at Individual Regional? I sure hope so.

Yes there is that possibility. Some sectionals have four of the toughest kids in the state in one weight class. So having the 4th place kid is a very good idea. PROPS to the IHSAA for deciding that one.

Ok so we know the schools that are closed today. No practices?? or can some schools practice? But what about tomorrow? Do you think there will be school tomorrow? Is it possible that some wrestlers won't make weight now because of having 2 days off and possibly 3?
