  1. Doesn't look like 145 is up there. Also, some of them are labeled wrong. I believe I saw Wright's match labeled 112 lb.
  2. It's kinda depressing that you wait for State all year and then it's over with so fast.
  3. Yeah, it looks like in McGinley's match against Young, that the refs weren't in great position in picture #37. http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage.aspx?pi=0D3V004Q0R0001&po=1 Anyway, these are all great pictures. Thanks for whoever took them!
  4. Ok, at let's start from the beginning: 103 - Harvey is definitely not flipping anyone off. 119 - Wright's left hand appears that it's his middle finger, but to me it doesn't appear to be some intentional gesture 125 - to me, that looks like Johnny's first finger...the same as the guy on the right hand side of the photo 145 - Gavin's obviously not flipping anyone off 152 - Calvin looks like he's holding it with his thumb, though I can't be sure 160 - Tyler is not flipping anyone off From what I can see, 3 guys definitely didn't flip anyone off, the rest don't appear to be flipping anyone off, but maybe I'm wrong? I can't get the pictures any bigger to see for sure.
  5. If that's true - post a picture of the 125 lb weight class. Johnny Grey is one of the most good-hearted kids I know. Show me some proof before you start slandering these kids.
  6. It's Janet. Miss Jackson if you're nasty.
  7. No kidding. I believe that was the only time Gavin's been pinned in his high school career.
  8. Congrats Steven. Good luck next year!
  9. First off - Gavin. Wow. What a ride over the last 4 years. You wrestled your heart out this weekend, and none of us could ask you for anything more than that. You've had one heck of a career, and when it seemed so many people were counting you out of the finals, look where you fought to get to. Thanks for always keeping us fans in mind and making your matches "exciting" for us It was wonderful to be able to watch you under the lights, and you definitely gave Charlie some fuel in his quest for a State Championship. Your brother and I love you and are just so unbelievably proud of you. To Sammy Bennett - I believe that state title is yours next year. We'll be up there rooting for you (as long as you're not up against a Cathedral guy, of course!) To Daniel Young - congrats on being Culver's first State Champ. Going on to serve your country is a very honorable thing. My husband was active duty Marine Corps for 5 years, so we understand and completely appreciate the sacrifices of anyone in uniform. Thank you, in advance, for your service to this country. Johnny Grey (for those that don't know, Gavin's cousin) and Tony McGinley - As you know, we are also VERY proud of you two. You both had great careers. Though it might not seem like it at times in our family, there are more important things in life than wrestling; like just being alive and healthy. Go on to college, carry with you the dedication and determination that Sean has instilled in you through wrestling, do great things in life, and continue to make us proud. We love you guys! For all of the Cathedral wrestlers - let's drive forward and get us a Team State Championship title next weekend!
  10. He was a big underdog. I don't think anyone thought he would even make it that far let alone almost pin Young to win it all.
  11. I am sure many of you that are defending CP were many of the same ones that were condemning Cathedral when Lance Rhodes was coach. I seem to remember everyone saying that it was wrong of Rhodes to not have his wrestlers shake the coaches hands.
  12. http://www.consecofieldhouse.com/eventinfo.aspx?ID=yguqbgbulj&day=20&month=2&year=2009 They won't list what times the sessions will end, because "it ain't over till it's over".
  13. He looked like he was on a mission last weekend. Good luck Antonio!
  14. This is such a nice post. Congrats Dom, and as your brother said, continue practicing hard and finish strong at team state.
  15. Even after reading your last post, I still don't understand this statement. Why do you think Cathedral shouldn't be considered a city school? I believe anything south of 96th street is still Indianapolis (Indy), but you can correct me if I'm wrong. Cathedral will have to really step it up if they want to beat Mishawaka. It can be done, but it will be tough. Also, I too believe that's the finals match. Whoever wins that, will likely be the winners at the end of the day.
  16. Wow, congrats to Hunter! To Tony - sorry you got beat You have such a big heart. This is exactly the sort of attitude you should hang onto and carry with you throughout the state tournament. Also, share this attitude with your teammates and make this a memorable senior year. We're rooting for ALL of you!
  17. I watche dhim wrestle at the traicoff and the kid is definately podium material! Hell, he might find himself on the top half of the stacks! I definitely agree! He's only a freshman, so he's got some time left to make it to the top as well
  18. I second that. Though the other site isn't nearly as good as this one, it was a place where we could at least get some good wrestling info. I appreciate that the old site was even started at all, and I REALLY appreciate that this site has become what it has.
  19. I think we're just going to camp out the night before. Just kidding. Though it will be interesting to see how many people can get packed in there.
  20. Based off of this and the other number crunching that WCS145 did in the other thread, it seems the top two should be Merrillville and New Castle. WCS145 showed the following as far as how many kids placed at State last year: Merrillville: 36 placers - 6 champions New Castle: 30 placers - 4 champions Evansville Reitz: 24 placers - 2 champions Woodlan: 22 placers - 2 champions
