  1. A #county team is no match for a state all star team but I'd put them up agaainst any other county in the state
  2. Why would mulkey not be next in line at 126?
  3. http://wishtv.com/2017/03/01/brayton-lee-dominates-indiana-high-school-wrestling-leading-brownsburg-to-first-team-state-title/
  4. 2010 Mishawaka was dominant 2008 Mishawaka was a good dual If you can get the 2004 year with Portage EMD and LN you should look at it as well
  5. I think thatsa classic Stall Camp Strategy from the Stall Brothers
  6. Oh Man Perry is gonna get even better!!!!!!! great Idea Matt and Blake are awesome and getting them around the state more will only bolster Indiana's Wrestlers
  7. I am not trying to start a political war on here its a wrestling website for damn sake. I will agree to disagree on this topic. That being said I do want to commend everyone for their level of respect on the issue like I said the transgender and LGBT community hits home for me a little harder than most and everyone here while maybe not in agreement has been very respectful towards the issue while defending their point. Another reason why I love this community so much.
  8. Again don't blame the athlete blame the governing body that said he followed the rules. He is only doing what he is allowed to do because the state association won't allow him to Wrestle with the males due to what's on the birth certificate. Blaming the athlete for a poorly written and executed rule doesn't solve anything. And maybe Im biased in that I have transgender family members and I would hope that doing something that has been considered "passe" for so long they could just live their life and do what they love. This particular individual loves to Wrestle we as a community should welcome and encourage it. Could the rules be clearer or perhaps modified to handle this situation better absolutely but again please don't put the onus of this issue on the athlete.
  9. If we are going off of accomplishments during their High School years, CJ has to be 1. He beat everyone put in front of him during his HS career winning every major event. I am not sure what guys like Lance Ellis's offseason accolades are maybe someone who was around back then could enlighten us.
  10. I mean the honest answer is you need to be insane and willing to eliminate any free time. Here is an example of my typical week Monday Work 8:00am - 3:00 High School Practice 3:20-5:30 Beginner Group 5:45-6:45 Intermediate group 6:45-7:45 Tuesday Work High School Practice 3:20-5:30 Wednesday Work 8:00am - 3:00 High School Practice 3:20-5:30 Beginner Group 5:45-6:45 Intermediate group 6:45-7:45 Thursday Work High School Practice 3:20-5:30 Friday Work High School Practice 3:20-5:30 Friday Night live 5:45-6:45 SatudayHigh School Tournament SundayYouth Tournament Me and Darrick share this responsibility with me leaning more towards head of our youth program. You have top be willing to put the time in to be successful which honestly means you have to sacrifice a lot of your time. There are things you can do to help not burn you out such has have dads help and recruit wrestlers to stay after and give you a hand. For the babies the dads don't have to know much about the sport just be able to watch supervise and correct. For my older group I have dads help and they tend to learn and ask questions along side the kids. The benefit of this is they feel more comfortable in a corner on the weekends which means you're not running around to every match because the kid doesn't have a coach. If there are academies around USE them. A closed door mentality is the worst thing for a program. Different ideas and philosophies are crucial to growth in knowledge in the sport. You as a coach can not know everything be able to admit that. We have a pretty good youth turnout and would be willing to at least offer what has worked for us.
  11. Again, I don't think the onus for this isn't on the athlete but that of the state association. The case is very simple a female is transitioning to a male which is perfectly legal. Medically, this requires certain things to happen, like testosterone therapy. The governing body needs to look at that and act accordingly. Especially if under the written rules the athlete is doing what they are suppose to, but people are finding/having issues with it. Get on it Texas.
  12. Brayton is also a very talented GOLF MANAGER! Come learn how to fix your short game as well how to do a double legg!
  13. If that's the case just let em wrestle guys it's more on the state then the kid they said you have to Wrestle what's on your birth certificate
  14. I just said if you wanna complain become an official and then got threatened to be fought....Guy didn't even say hi at BLF
  15. Lol thanks to the hangouts I have been better at being able to turn my filthy habit i got from my father off but no guarantees barring some crazy action or call and yes I could see our AD being like NOPE just cause she knows me....loves me...but also knows me
  16. Not next year according to MarioK. However I know for us personally I would be all for that. Evansville does do a WONDERFUL JOB with it and the venue is second to none but for me personally the drive and MS State the next day means im basically out of commission Monday and Tuesday
  17. Get me a wireless Lavaliere mic and a hook in to the audio lol might need a 5 sec delay and a beep button too.....
  18. I cant recall off the top of my head.... Probably things like "At Some point he will have to wrestle back", "Keep the pace up he will break" "More angles he is trying to slow you down to keep it close" things of that nature...
  19. They shouldn't are we still on this insane topic?
  20. Yeah at some point wrestling will happen ....
  21. Yeah Walton is def a big leader in the room....always keeps the mood light when it gets a little too intense....and like he told me he makes his career in that third place match!...lol Love that kid
