  4. Cashe's match was on the Big 10 network last night, as was the rest of the dual meet. Here's how the match went: 1st Per: TD Sanders, Escape Cashe, TD Cashe with about 15 sec left in the period - 3-2 Cashe after 1 2nd Per: Escape cashe, hand fight for a bit, then Sanders with a low shot TD and traps Cashe's legs in kind of a turk and gets 3 NF. Cashe fights off his back but can't get an escape. 7-4 Sanders at the end of 2. 3rd Per: Escape Sanders to make it 8-4, Cashe turns up the heat and gets a TD to make it 8-6 and hurts Sanders trying to turn him. Sanders takes all of his injury time out and then Cashe cuts Sanders to make it 9-6. Cashe goes after him the get in a scramble and Cashe tries to fold his spine in half. Got a penalty point for that to make it 10-6. Cashe looked good. Stopped trying to improve position for a split second in the period 2 and it cost him 3 backs. That was the match.

  6. We didn't drop out of Bellmont becasue we weren't competitive. Look at our schedule, I'd put it up against anyones. Mishawaka is the only team that has a tougher schedule than us. Secondly, LN in the 2000's, has been in the top 4 of the team state tournament 5 times. That means, they not only got there, but they won at least one dual. Also, LN has had at least 1 wrestler under the lights in the state championship match 9 of the past 10 years. LN has had 1 state champion in 6 of the past 10 years. That's pretty consistent.
  7. Rankingsguy, LN 103lber. is Alex Sparks. He beat Newkirk of Lawrence Central at the Marion County tournament and just placed 4th at the Al Smith. Newkirk got 7th or 8th and Schoettle of Center Grove also placed below him. Sparks is a freshman and his losses are to Venezia, Bova, Moss, Brooks, and Garretson. Thanks for all of your hard work.
  8. Cashe wrestled 2-time All-American Brandon Precin this past weekend and lost 8-3 with r.t.Precin has been neck and neck with Angel. Also, got a takedown on him. So, I don't think bonus points are a given.

  11. It was a great year for Cashe. His high school season combined with Junior State,Junior Nationals and and NHSCA Senior Nationals win loss record was somewhere around 67-2. You would be hard pressed to find someone that wrestled a more difficult 70 matches than this kid. In the high school season alone he beat 5 wrestlers with a combined 8 state titles (Wright, Eppert 2, Harper 3, Porras, Tsirtsis). During the season, he beat the 2 state finalists at 119, 125, and 130. I don't think anyone has gone after people the way he did. He was a Senior National Finalist and Junior National Champion. That is an amazing year. Anyway, we are certainly proud of his accomplishments and the type of kid he is. I know he'll have a great career as a Boilermaker.
  12. If he is a future state champion he can't be related to wrestlinggods.
  13. Nelsen is lost in the semis 5-3 and in his first wrestleback. He's going for 5th. Brandon Wright also lost a close one in the semis, then won in the consos, is going for 3rd. Porras going for 5th, Duck is going for 5th too. Not sure about Bennet or stahl
  14. Nelsen, wright and porras all dominated. Stahl went down to the wire. MacMurray 0-0 after 1st, gets escape.
  15. Nelsen, wright and porras all win to advance to semis. Stahl just lost in the quarters. They are not wrestling the junior semis until tomorrow.
  16. Wright and Nelsen both undefeated and in the rd of 16. Heard roach got beat but didn't see it.
  17. results after first couple rds, they are not doing any consos tonight Boston (LN) 1-1 Wright (cath) 2-0 Nelsen (LN) 1-0 J Johnson (LN) 0-1 Berryman (AH) 1-0 Tonte (PM) 1-0 Roach 1-0 McKinley PM 1-0 Simmons PM 0-1 Will post more later
  18. Yeah, he wants to be on both sides of the bracket and wrestle himself in the finals.
