  1. Marcus Hernandez and John Bedoy also added some family wins some one did say the Escobedos on the last page

Nick Wiesjhn Mishawaka vs Steve Salinas SB Clay And The AL Smith always has some great upsets Zeke Abegg Hobart over Aaron Sessa LC Zach Corpe EM over Tom Churchard Valpo Nick Wiesjahn over Eric Galka Hobart or in 2002 Hector Mendez didn't even place then went on to win a State title

  9. I also hate Frank Mir, Who has he ever beat Tim Sylvia Who just got wrecked by Fedor. So I'm going with Big Nog. If the fight between Rampage and Wandy is taken to the ground it will be a boring fight just like Arona vs Wandy but if it is a stand up war Wandy all the way. I'm going to go with Rashad, but I wouldn't put money on it.But it is funny how Tito is washed up but beat Forrest and should have beat Rashad if he didn't get dinged for a point(it ended in a draw)
  10. StoryDiscussionFont Size: Default font size Larger font size BY BOB MOULESONG Times Correspondent | Wednesday, December 03, 2008 | 3 comment(s) HAMMOND | The wrestling programs at Whiting and Hammond have had some lean years, but both are now headed in the right direction. In both cases, the growth is because of a dedicated head coach and a talented wrestler. For the Oilers, who defeated Hammond 60-18, that coach is Rob Segudovic. His association with the football program has resulted in much larger numbers out on the mats. "We've been working with all of our athletes, especially football players, to come out and work with us," Segudovic said. "This year, our numbers are the best they have been in several years. We have done a good job of filling out our weight classes with talented wrestlers." http://www.nwitimes.com/articles/2008/12/03/sports/preppicks/doc4fb63a142543413e8625751400145349.txt
  11. I'm' going to the second day, There are alot of good matches the first day. But the Finals is in 1 gym no long walks between gyms

  15. I was wondering what is the most stacked Regional weight class two come to mind from the Calumet Regional 119 2005 1. Aaron Sessa Lake Central 2x runner up(missed the last half of his Fr and Sr year) 2. Brennon Cosgrove Hobart 3rd, 2nd,2nd, Champ 3. Javier Salas Merrillville SQ, 6th Champ Eric McGill would have also been in the wieght but was injured before regionals He beat Sessa in the sectional 112 2004 1. Aaron Sessa Lake Central 2x runner up(missed the last half of his Fr and Sr year) 2. Fernando Martinez Highland Champ and 3rd 3. Chase Sakovich Calumet 2x SQ Didn't wrestle Jr or Sr year 4. Santana Adame Griffith 7th and 5th
  16. Alex Ramos Hobart vs Andrew Bradbury Portage Even though Bradbury never won it was always a great match
  17. Ryan Pribble Turkey Run he was a state Champ
  18. I do like how Merrillville is Ran. I like the Spot light for the finals The wrestling is always great. But the facilities are not so good. The consession stand is not good and It is cramped. But who goes there to eat and being cramped is how you make friends. If the gym had more seating and I tought the consession stand to make a walking taco and brought more Ice for drinks It would be a better time for everyone
  19. Justin Brooks17-0 ,127takedowns Wow that is alot of takedowns a little over 7 a match I wish I knew the State takedown record If Brooks keeps it up he has to be on pace
  20. 3 articles in today Region papers 2 in the times and the other in the Post I have posted them in the Article of intrest section. The Wrestlers are Zach Thorton Chesterton, Brandon Coppinger Portage and Mike Clark Calumet
  21. December 24, 2008By John O'Malley Post-Tribune correspondent Font Size Email Bookmark Black Text White TextChesterton assistant wrestling coach Brian Swallow had a message for Zack Thornton as he walked off the mat following a 9-1 loss to Crown Point's Jason Tsirtsis earlier this season. "I said, 'You're better than that,' " Swallow recalled. "Zack has all the skills, but I think sometimes he lacks confidence against the better wrestlers. "It's something that's really holding him back a little bit. He didn't wrestle his own style at all against (Tsirtsis) and that's something he needs to do more often.'' http://www.post-trib.com/sports/highschools/1347456,Thornton.article
