    State: Week 5

    12/16/2014
  2. They are both in the correct weight class. The newest rankings both state and semi at listed as dec 8th
  3. They have a good team and they are young also how many seniors does Valpo have suttles for sure
  4. Not sure that the result at 32 95 or 285 would have been different but I would like to see the box score
  5. who was undefeated at the Traicoff Today? I know a couple but Im sure im missing some 5-0 TEAM PORTAGE 106/113 Colton Cummings Lowell 106 Colin Poynter Portage 106 Ian Dembrowski Valpo 113 Skylar Turner Cathedral 113 Cody Crary Munster 120/126 Brenden Bailey Cathedral 126 Gaige Torres Portage 132 Zach Donaldson Portage 138 Riley Akers Crown Point 138 Tommy Cash Lawrence North 145 Bam Lawrence Portage 152 Burk van Horn Franklin 152 Tommy Forte Mishwaka 160 Drew Hughes Lowell 170 Ben Harvey Cathedral 195 Nick Fowler Calumet 195/220 Blake Rypel Cathedral 220/285 Morgan Kral Crown Point 285 Ian Suttles Valpo
  6. not a close dual some of the matches were back and forth 152,195,113(which ended up being a fall for Portage) 120, 138 the match of the day in my opinion was Harvey vs Stevenson 1st period 0-0 2nd Harvey was down got the reversal Stevenson with the escape 2-1 3rd Sevenson down go the escape 2-2 OT Harvey with the takedown
  7. Portage is a legit squad cp was down Dax jones. It was a good back and forth dual both squads were ahead of franklin and cathedral.
  8. Merrillville is still pretty good state ranked Delapena 113 Clarence Johnson 132 Covaciu 145 state ranked Streck 285 Returning ssq 138 Scott(132) 152 butler(160) 195 perry(220) 2 years ago will be ranked next update Penn ranked 113 hildebrant 152 swank 170 mammolenti 182 Osborn 220 woods 285 Christman Returning SS SQ slates Ssq sellis
  9. Yea slates for sure what weight is beam? 26? Manspeaker and sellis were both 4th sellis due to injury. I think they are better with slates and prentice. Slates helps a lot but your making it sound like they sent their JV. Martorano was the 1 seed.
  10. It will be a good dual I'm sure but before we get to far if beam is your 32. Sellis was 4th prentice is really good martorano was still ahead of Morgan. And penn won 182,220,285 it's hard to see their football guys getting more points then that.
  11. Portage is young too. Merrillville has some guys who I'm sure will be improved by the end. The DAC should be a good battle CP is solid and chesterton Valpo and lake central all have solid squads
  12. Bam and covaciu was a real good match some good flurries on the line covaciu with a reversal in the third was the difference. Merrillvilles top guys all looked good streck and Johnson got big falls delapena got a dec. there were some tight matches in the middle 52 60 95 and 220. Hedrick and perry was a good match also. Portage is a tough team top to bottom every kid shows up to scrap the portage staff has done a great job. 138 was a great match were Mcintosh came from behind early and got a fall. Portage belongs at team state and I wouldn't be surprised if they are the champs at the Traicoff Saturday It was a pretty full house in the field house not semi state packed but a good crowd
  13. 3 #1 ranked kids from that weight and not of those guys was just a placer at super 32 doesn't sound to weak
  14. We did a quick update let me know what you guys are thinking about the semi state so far
