  1. So... your saying Tyler Willis will take McMurry out?????hmmm...... I'll take that action! Remember MCKAJC, when you think your guys are working hard think about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKPe-FnT5As&feature=popular
  2. That's all good but I don't expect to see LPD's Devils looking that good on the mat this season. They lost 3 tough seniors in Monix, Lamb, Johnson and I'm thinking the cupboard is bare :-\.
  3. Stevens .... let me get you up to speed .... I was putting in an average of around 20 hours a week sifting through results from tournaments across the state for 12 weeks during last season. That comes out to roughly 240 hours over the course of the season, and as a courtesy to Y2, I did them on a completely volunteer basis in 2009. In order to be able to offer this same high quality of rankings this season, the same amount of time is going to need to be allotted. Although I enjoy doing the rankings and making them as accurate as possible, when you start putting in that kind of time, it starts to become a chore. By no means am I trying to get rich off of doing the IndianaMat.com rankings, its simply the fact that I can no longer take myself away from work, family, friends, etc. for 20 extra hours a week without some small compensation. This brings me to my questions, and I would like to open the floor for discussion. What did you think of the 2009 rankings (positives and negatives)? Did you like them enough that you would be willing to pay a dollar for a season subscription? How about 5 dollars? Would having to pay some fee between 1 and 5 dollars a year make you think that the free rankings from the IHSWCA were a more viable option?
  4. Wouldn't make a lot of sense to me. He had one of the best partners in the state in Zach Corpe.
  5. We were at the Culver camp this past June and can confim that ole man Nicola still has plenty left in the gas tank. Leroy's 149er and down are going to benefit a ton from him being there and I personally love his nasty, hardcore, in-ya-face demeanor ... Leroy knows what he's doing.
  6. No problem here with paying a small fee for a job well done.
  7. Of course people come and go..it's part of life. With that said has there ever been a bigger transfer than this past year? Who transferred? Obviously the biggest transfers were Roach and Tsirtsis to Crown Point. Add those two to any team, and you're on your way to having an "AllStar" team !! From what I understand, neither of those two wrestlers attended any other high school besides Crown Point. Roach or Tsirtsis never went to another high school, but their families "transferred" from their communities to CP. That is huge in terms of putting together an All Star team. It extends far beyond the W's and points on the scoreboard.

  9. I think there are people that hate CP, because in the past few years fans/moms love to come on the board and talk smack about how good they are or give reasons on why they lost. They do the same thing with football. Never humble that's for sure. Big deal about the hand shaking, I like it but that's me.
  10. J A K E S M I T H !!! (or maybe Dave Smith) BTW, Outstanding work with the rankings this year !
  11. St. Elmo's and if you ever go, must have the shrimp cocktail ... the horseradish sauce will make you cry (literally).
  12. Thanks for sharing - outstanding article !
  13. I agree, I've seen Payne wrestle this year and on any given day you can be beat. I can't even count all the upset I've seen in the past 15 years in the state tournament. One that really comes to my mind, is the Hanover kid a few years ago getting beat by a kid named Hall. Who would of guessed that one?
  14. Sounds like a good reason. Good luck this weekend, No school tomorrow, I think it's past your bed time. LOL
  15. Sean, By saying "Estrada walking out on the mat at team Regionals to wrestle, proved he want a state Championship". What are you say? That he was afraid to wrestle you or did you think he was going to dodge you. Just curious. Good luck to you and Estrada this weekend, I hope I can make it this weekend.
  16. No way, Thrillin Dillon even comes close to Roach. Roach is way to smooth for him. You heard it here first Roach 6 Dillon- 1
  17. Maybe the ref thought this was a professional wrestling match. He sure looked stuck to me.... Saturday will be interesting. Estrada by 3
  18. In a few hours they should be posted by Y2
  19. If I had to take a guess, I would say Jake Lamb cuttng weight may have finally caught up to him. That's a huge upset.
  20. OMG !!! Big Fan's picture says it all !!! So exactly what is wrong with using the EC Central gym that seats 8,200 ??? Or the Michigan City gym that seats 7,300 ??? In the words of the scarecrow ....... "If I only had a brain" ...
  21. Y2... By reading some of ur post, I had the impression you were all about promoting the sport. Now I feel u talk both sides of your mouth. which is it?
  22. I thought for sure Coach Watkins would have been one of the first coaches to have them posted. He's a great promoter of the sport of wrestling
  23. Clive, Are you saying that this Holmes guy is as good as Andrew Howe ? :
  24. Wow, a concussion. From the stands folks didn't realize this and were thinking what's up with Lamb. Looking forward to the rematch.
