  1. Cleveland handled the kid from LC. Estrada is going 152 for the State Tournament, so unless he goes 160 for Conference, Monix will not see him. I was quite suprised by the big victory by Petrov against Lamb. Ayersman continues to roll on, and does not get any easier with the DAC around the corner and State Tourney after that. 103 is shaping up to be a pretty good weight class for the Merrillville Semi-State. Ayersman-LC, Medina- MUN, Wisler-MIS, Stevens- MER, Petrov- HC, Brooks-WAR, Halsted-CP. That is seven mentioned here with only 4 TICKETS available. Should be an entertaining day.
  2. Hand injury kept him out today. Bad luck with injuries this year.
  3. tangarray, You are the MAN today! Had to take off early.
  4. Sorry guys made a mistake at 160.....Keough is #3 and Tyler is #4. Made correction already.

  6. feds want even sniff at matchick's case......would have to be a whole lot more $$$ involved.
  7. I believe the brackets will be posted later on today. 215 was an interesting weight class. #2 ranked Cleveland of Lowell is seeded #3 in the tournament. If you are wondering who is ahead of him: #1 Chris Woods (West Side) 5-0 #2 Vlade Nacovski (Lake Central) 21-0
  8. I remember this match. Bradbury/Birge. Lots of flurries. Very entertaining match. I think White Angel was going for guys who never made it to state in their high school career.
  9. The seeding meeting is tomorrow. If someone has not already volunteered to get the brackets to y2, I could probably have them to him by Tuesday.
  10. BTR, Just when I thought you were out, they pull you back in!
  11. Technically they can have 2 at the same weight on the roster, however only 1 can actually wrestle. I believe the latter is the answer you were looking for.
  12. ontherise, I am pretty sure Lake Central is in this year.
  13. Sounds like a good tournament. I would imagine it would be even better if they would find a way to seed the wrestlers.
  14. D-Train, I agree with you there. Baby Bro and me talked about it on the ride home. In a situation like that, you probably want your wrestler in his best position to score. He was taken down by Cashe once , down may have been a concern for reaggrevating a shoulder injury ( this is not excuse, notice the word REaggrevateing) and a takedown is still needed for the win. That leaves the top position, which in my opinion, has been his strongest position. Let's remeber he has turned and pinned Cashe before, a three point near fall gets him the win if he rides the whole 2 minutes, or at least to OT if Cashe escapes. I did not quite agree with the call at first, but after thinking about it, kinda like the decision. Definitely was gutsy, if he does not turn, lots of questions, however if he does what a GREAT call to choose top. Regardless, makes great discussion and was a very entertaining match between two very tough and classy kids.
  15. Ontherise, I am not sure myself.....I am assuming you do not get any points if one of your top 2 picks did not make the finals.
  16. You mean calling him out on the board is not the why to go? ;D
  17. Likewise y2 as well as Karl. I had to cut out early to get back here for New Year's Eve party. I was responsible for my making my famous Puerto Rican rice. Wanted to catch Monix match as well as Travis from Merrillville. Figured I could watch them later on broadcast.net acrhives. AJ, no injury, Frankie was cramping up.
  18. One of them is Wilk....could not remeber the other guy's name.....Both Penn guys I believe though. You are right, Wilk was coaching earlier.
  19. vito, Could I trouble you for the current semi-final matches yo have for each weight?
  20. Looks like they site that had the updated brackets have crashed.
  21. AJ, Is Harper wrestling in the tournament? Nevermind just read it in another post. Yes he is wrestling.
  22. 02 State Finals FRIDAY Night: Danny Williams(Warren Central) v. Justin Mora (Lake Central) 6-4 2OT I think this has to be up there with one of the worst draws any Semi-Staet Champ could have gotten.
  23. It looks like it has begun already, guy gets engaged and he no longer has time to get a proper y2 pick'em contest! ;D My guesses below. 103 1. Stevens 2. Brooks DH: Adams (Bellmont) 112 1. Nelson 2. Beck DH: Smith (Lake Central) 119 1.Guerra 2. Milton DH: Faurote (Bellmont) 125 1. Napules 2. Brooks DH: Brady (Lowell) 130 1. Porras 2. Harper DH: Sheets (Bellmont) 135 1. Dillon 2. March DH: Mersich (Mishawaka) 140 1. Sandefer 2. Stahl DH: Richmond (Merrillville) 145 1. Corpe 2. Goodwin DH: Hankenson (Bellmont) 152 1. Baker 2. Forte DH: France (Hobart) 160 1. Monix 2. Kurtz DH: Lewallen (Goshen) 171 1. Grimes 2. Lopez DH: Hudson (SB Riley) 189 1. Kepner 2. Woorden DH: Bultemeir (Bellmont) 215 1. Cleveland 2. Baker DH: Lentz (Mishawaka) 285 1. Travis 2.
