A few years back when we were in the thick of it,it was normal for us to have to travel 1.5 hours or more to hit a tournament.We live bout 25 miles south of Terre Haute so to get good competition we traveled weekly.We actually enjoyed the treks,a lot great conversations on those trips.

I thought the fairgrounds were a good place for the fights for the fans.Other than it being a lil windy the weather wasn't an issue. Thanks for the links....I didn't see anything in those videos that one could call any acts of cockiness....Looked like a confident fighter....of course maybe things happened that didnt get taped?... I always have appreciated those competitors that show class no matter what the outcome....Showmanship and smack talk should be reserved for the actors of professional wrestling. The podium is a great addition....As with anything that is new there are and will be adjustments as to how its handled just as was mentioned earlier and thats to be expected....We as parents,coaches and competitors need to just continue to support ISWA and all the many wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to put on a good show for the kids.Thanks again, Skip Walker-Sullivan Wrestling

Greg was a great young man...he had that unique ability to leave a lasting positive impression on all those with who he came in contact with...Greg wrestled for a conference rival(Northview) of ours and then spent a season as a volunteer asst. for us(Sullivan)....Our kids and staff truly enjoyed the time we got to spend with him....as a competitor he was fierce and as a person he was a class act....To his family I send our condolences and prayers and to Greg I hope he knows just how much we appreciate the life he lived and the sacrifices he made.... 95% or better of the time it's the parents who are the problem.....they're always the ones I hear threatening/promising to take their little darlings somewhere else......lack of class spawns lack of class....most kids in these situations get it naturally..... Loyalty,respect and pride sure seem to be in short supply in this day and age... For all those who do what's right...Thank-you.....and best of luck to all.... Just my two cents worth....
