I think people giving Lee a chance are using his life time career wrestling achievements. That match just showed the northern part of the state he has a chance. Anyone else who has followed him or seen him wrestle knew before the season his chances.

These could very well be the best 2 kids in the nation. I don't think anything will be spared no matter where they meet. -
Konrath was awesome. Nick Lee didn't hit the same move twice from any position all day. He is a pleasure to watch. Josh Davis wrestled great all day. After pinning Orndorf he beats two ranked wrestlers handily. It's good to see kargis make his way to the finals. MD pulled some upsets in some weights I didn't see coming. Franklin and Heritage Hills should have a weight lifting competition after state.

With no disrespect to his opponents, Lee looked like he was shadow wrestling today.

Stay with me here. I didn't make this post saying this was MD vs Anyone. Others commented this yes but the thread was started with one intention. Was the right call made. I brought up the 220 finals too. It did not feature a MD wrestler. I thought that was very poorly officiated. Which did feature the same ref. I know nothing about him other than what I seen in the finals. I am sure he is an upstanding guy.

A banana split? That would require Elgi to have a leg in and across the hips of Konrath? He just simply hooked lace from being stretched out. Konrath had the ankle but had it hooked over his head. I would say if it was close to anything it would have been closest to a scissor cradle. A stalemate would have been called if this was 1 minute into the second. I really do think the ticking clock made the decision to be rushed. JMO, both wrestled great.

I never called them crybabies. The poster who did that I'm guessing has an issue with MD despite this match. But I'm not sure a high road was taken on here

This same ref didn't know to award a point for a second stalling call at 220. I am not sure he was influenced by some criteria that is lost to the majority. I do not know the exact verbiage but I do know I see that position in high school and collegiate wrestle A LOT and it's never a takedown. I have no bias towards either team I just thought it was a bad call to give him control. I think we will see this match up in the finals for the next two weeks. We can question a call without taking anyway anything from either wrestler.

Could care less how many champs MD had. Congrats to them. I was questioning a very questionable call. That's what happens with questionable calls. Welcome to the Internet

That ref made a lot of bad calls today. I never criticize refs on here but in the 220lb match he called a second stalling call and didn't even know to reward the point. The second ref had to step in. He just seemed lost. Hopefully just an off day.
