  3. Agreed... and a wahoo for the effort!
  4. Tristan Yunker has Gladiators Gym or LOF. DOnt know the offical name.
  5. Guess what ...BJ didnt train!! And it showed BTW Loyota not a joke.. IS a STUD!!! Proved he is top 5 at 205lbs. His hands looked awesome and he threw them well.
  6. 152, 160 and 285 were burn burners in the finals! Great day of wrestling.
  7. So Castle VS Mater Dei first round
  8. I fight 145 for Big Bully MMA in Evansville, In. Im 6-1. Majority of my fights have been for HooknShoot. Also Ring of Rage.
  9. How many times have you seen a really good wrestler come down with sickness week of regionals. Or tweeks an ankle in sectionals. Maybe that kid deserves to be at semi-state just as bad but an unfortunate situation arised. It will not hurt SS. Look at your own regional. And when you see that one weight class where you say " Man that weight is stacked any of those kids could make it to state." You now have a chance to find out. How about this, ask the WRESTLERS who are wrestling what they think. Id venture to say they like having a chance to fight back for the dream of state. Its for the wrestlers, not to entertain the fans.
  10. I believe I read somewhere GSP walks around 190-195 which makes sense. 20 lbs isnt much to cut with weigh in the day before. I drop 30 for my fights.
  11. Fedor could be the best P4P. Arloski exploded some serious holes in his stand up last fight. Quickness and strong pressure would give him trouble. Fedor just has so much power that it overcame technique. I worry Fedor is going to, hit that slope that all great fighters hit here soon. Nog, Chuck, Tito... where ago catches up. I would love to see him come to the UFC along with Barnett against their heavies. One thing BJ has on GSP is that he has fight in Pride and other orgs like that and beat their top fighters. He submitted Gomi who was considered the best 155 at the time by a large margin. Machido is boring but he is also undefeated and fighting in the UFC. I think he can live with that. lol If I had 100 dollars to put on BJ / GSP fight Id take it and go to the boat and throw it down on black!
  12. On a seperate note, Fantasy leagues are a joke lol They arent meant to be the social relm of sports or meant to create sour grapes towards teams.
  13. Anyone fighting in the UFC isnt a joke. Thats the top of the totem poll. Even the worst fighters in the UFC right now are very good fighters. UFC isnt going to be putting that much stock into a fighters image if he is a joke. (See EliteXC and Kimbo) Anderson Silva even admitted in an interview BJ would be a tough fight for him. BJ has won in every weight class. Doing so with piss poor work ethic. That takes quite a bit of skill. BJ also is a black belt. P4P doesnt mean he would beat him in a fight. When Anderson SIlva bumps up a weight and beats the best fighters at 205 then I will say he is the best P4P fighter. Also styles make a fight. They all could be better fighters but that doesnt mean they would beat him. Ive seen alot of fights where the more skilled fighter didnt win because the other guys style was the right one to win the fight. BTW here's a link to Lyoto's fight history. He may never wear the belt, but he has beat top guys. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Lyoto-Machida-7513
  14. I like them both. Both bring something different to the sport. BJ doesnt have to improve to much in the last two years to still be better than GSP. Where he needed to improve was cardio and dedication. BJ is the P4P greatest fighter in the world skill wise. He just hasnt put in the hard work in the past while others who are close in skill have. If anyone watched their first fight (yes 2 years ago) BJ killed him on his feet. His stand up is ALOT better than Serras with alot more power and one of the best chins out there. I think the only was GSP wins is if its a boring fight. BJ wins by stoppage. GSP being big wont be a big factor. BJ fought Lyoto Machida to a decision loss. Thats an undefeated 205lber who beat Tito and might have a title shot after this fight. BUT I still wouldnt bet on this fight!!
  15. We got snow in evansville, but the worst part was the full day of freezing rain we got before. Over an inch of ice under abotu 6-8 inches of snow.
  16. Check out old footage of Josh Barnett if BJ freaks you out My call is BJ wins within first 2/3 rounds.. If it goes the distance I see GSP winning.

    Aaron Riley

He is fighting in Ohio in UFC 96 against Ultimate Fighter Alum Shane Nelson.
  18. AA has somewhat of a glassjaw Fedor hits like a mack truck and has supper fast hand speed I like AA but tough match up for him. My prediction is Fedor first round tko/sub. Now Barnett vs Fedor...
  19. IMO if Fedor losses it will be like Kimbo lossing for EliteXC. There are tons of talent in heavyweights for Affliction but Fedor is their top dog. He losses, Dana White will be all over them.
  20. Until Fedor is beat, cant bet against him.
  21. winner via heel-hook first round... wait what sport we talking about? ;D In all fairness this should be changed to a chuck norris thread, the only man who would stand a chance... well and Ditka

    UFC 96 - Ohio

Out of the top 3 cards Ive seen in the past year, 2 of the 3 were considered before the fight started as weak cards. Its not the names that make good cards as Ive seen plenty of big name fights end up awful. Its the match ups that make it interesting. I think there are some good match ups on this card.
